Therapy can be a great (and quite painful) discovery of the ways we thought we needed to ‘be’ in order to make it through life.

‘If I’m not stubborn, no one will ever hear or cede to my opinion’. A deep pain of not being considered or listened to.

‘If I withdraw first, they can’t hurt me’. A deep fear of being left, open hearted, raw, and alone.

‘I’ll be perfectly on time, so I can never be accused of being disrespectful’. A core belief that love is something we must earn, and nothing ever suffices.

In realizing our own blindspots, we are invited to change the parts of us that have often times become the gravitational centres of our lives.

We can disentangle ourselves from perfectionism, although we run the risk of not being loved by those who perpetually need proof that we love them.

We can relinquish our stubbornness, and come into new relationships learning how to communicate in a way we never had the opportunity to.

We can stay in uncertainty, knowing that leaving early hurts us just as much as it pains others.

Change asks that we risk not knowing for a moment. And promises that we will learn something even juicier on the other side.

There are, in a piano composition, moments of music and moments of silence. Our human experience is in being present to the silence so that we might distinguish which notes are being played.

You are the sky. What stillness might you find in the midnight moon or the morning sun to observe the weather roaring through you?

These words of my client in @theclinic__ will stay with me for a long time:

“Before I was able to put into words what happened in my childhood, trauma-sensitive yoga gave me the space to be with it in my body, and the strength to eventually say it out loud in therapy… after twenty years of being alone with it.”

The insight that words are not always the beginning of healing is really something I am taking from working through TCTSY, trauma-sensitive yoga.

As facilitators, we can sometimes feel pressure to help people make sense of their experiences, tell their stories, or find the “right” words. Yet again and again, trauma sensitive yoga has shown me the importance of creating a space where none of that is required.
A space where a person can simply notice, move, feel, pause, or not know. A space where experiences can exist without explanation, a space where someone is accompanied by a steady, compassionate witness while reconnecting with themselves at their own pace.

Sometimes healing begins not when a story is told, but when a person no longer has to hold it alone🙏

These past days, like many of us in Israel, I’ve been moving through the reality of war in my own way.

Something I’ve noticed in my body is a strange mix of emotions.
Moments of worry… and moments where I feel almost numb, or surprisingly calm.

My nervous system sometimes drops into what feels like rest & digest mode — as if my body is choosing to slow everything down so it can process safely.

And I’m learning to trust that rhythm.

There isn’t one “correct” way to react to uncertainty or stress.
Some people feel overwhelmed.
Some feel hyper-alert.
Some feel quiet inside.

For me, this time is also a reminder of how important it is to listen to the nervous system, rather than pushing through.

To slow down.
To breathe.
To feel what is there — without forcing anything.

If you also feel the need for space to reconnect with your body during this time, I’m holding a special TRAITS somatic workshop:

✨ Hack Your Nervous System - 1 SPOT LEFT
A 3-hour immersive workshop to explore practical tools to regulate stress, release tension, and gently support your nervous system.

🗓 Saturday, March 28
🕚 11:00 – 14:00
📍 Tel Aviv

You are welcome exactly as you are — anxious, tired, numb, or curious.

Feel free to message me if you want to reserve a spot.

Looking at this photo of me as a child, I see someone sensitive, alert, deeply feeling the world — without having the tools to understand what was happening inside.

For a long time, I thought stress and anxiety were just part of my personality.

Later in life, after experiencing trauma as an adult, I began to understand something important:
what we experience in the present often resonates with what our nervous system learned much earlier.

Not because something is “wrong” with us.
But because the nervous system remembers, protects, and reacts based on its history.

The truth is, most of us were never taught how to read life through the lens of the nervous system.

We learned to push through.
To adapt.
To function.

Over the past years, my biggest compass has become a simple question:
How does my nervous system feel here?

In a relationship.
At work.
In friendships.
In the environments I choose.
In the pace I keep.

Not what looks right.
Not what I think I should do.
But what my body tells me.

This shift changed the way I make decisions, set boundaries, and create my life.

Today, I want to share some of the simple somatic tools that helped me along the way.

I’m inviting you to join:

Hack Your Nervous System
A 3-hour somatic workshop

A gentle, sensory and practical exploration where you will:
– understand your nervous system patterns
– learn simple regulation tools
– experience sound and body-based practices
– create your own personal nervous system map

If your nervous system is your compass too — or if you’d like it to become one — you’re warmly welcome.
