🔥Process shots from the new mural I just finished painting as part of the 2026 Maine Mural Festival walls in Portland, Maine. This piece was painted using the one and only KOBRA @kobrapaintusa @kobrapaint low pressure spray paints. The Fire Goddess stands 16 feet tall, 14 feet wide and includes a huge array of colors, different textures and my favorite part; a bright, warm orange glow that bounces off her face. If you want to see this mural (and all the other incredible artworks painted during this year’s festival) you can see it along the Bayside Trail in the East Bayside, as well as on the side of the building at 91 Cove Street.🔥#thecolorwizard #mural #kobraspraypaint #portlandmaine #publicart

🔥The Fire Goddess🔥 My latest mural painted in Portland, Maine! This is the largest portrait I have ever created and I will definitely be doing more murals like this in the future. She was extremely challenging, fun, intimidating and exciting to paint, and I am very happy with the way she turned out. Summer isn’t over, and neither is the painting season; on to the next one. She measures 14’ wide by 16’ tall and was painted using KOBRA premium low pressure spray paints on top of a base coat of black, exterior, satin primer. @kobrapaint @kobrapaintusa

I am excited to officially announce the 2nd annual ✨Maine Mural Festival✨ is happening this year! Below is all the information, I hope to see you there!!
•
Where: The walls along the bike path and the side wall of 91 Cove Street, just off Cove Street in the East Bayside in the one and only, PORTLAND, MAINE.
•
When: Friday, August 14th through Sunday, August 16th, 2026.
•
What: More than 30 local and regional artists, painting murals on over 20,000 square feet of walls with a huge array of characters, graffiti pieces, portraits, creatures and MORE! This year’s artwork will have a cohesive “JUNGLE THEME” across all 5 of the walls included in this year’s festival.
•
This event is FREE to the public! There will be music playing throughout each day and artists collaborating on large-scale murals from morning until night.
•
SPONSORS: I am thrilled to have KOBRA partially sponsoring the spray paint again this year. I am also very pleased to share that Sunbelt Rentals has graciously donated a lift for this year’s festival which is going to allow for even more incredible art on the walls from top to bottom! *SPONSORS ARE NEEDED! I painted these saws for my friend @carey_gregor_tattoos to hang in his new shop @royalfortunetattooco in Portland, Maine. I had a lot of fun making them and will definitely be doing more in the future!

I used premium spray paints for the base colors and then hand painted all the lettering and pin stripes using 1Shot paint and pinstriping brushes.
•

✨1st MURAL of 2026 - CHROME FROG✨ Took advantage of the warm weather in the city and painted this along the bike path in Portland, Maine. The out-of-focus background elements as well as textures like the chrome effect are painting techniques I really enjoying exploring and look forward to pushing a lot further this year. ✨Gingerbread House✨ This mural was so much fun to create! I received a ton of compliments while working on it (thank you!) and hope everyone enjoys the artwork all season. *I plan to paint the roof in the spring as well.

This mural is located in the heart of the city in Lincoln Park on Congress Street in Portland, Maine. A wooden structure is built over the water fountain every year to protect it from the elements through the winter and this was the year it got upgrades! I am very grateful to the Portland Parks & REC @portlandmeprf for this opportunity and all their support over the years. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Recently Tim Clorius @timclorius and I painted a memorial graffiti piece for our friend Matt “EMBER” Carron, who passed away in January of 2020. He was a skilled musician, artist and graffiti writer here in Maine. We know that Matt would have loved being part of the 2025 Maine Mural Festival held this year in Portland so we painted a piece for him on one of the walls that was part of the festival.

Painted using KOBRA @kobrapaintusa @kobrapaint spray paints! Their low pressure cans are awesome, vibrant and we appreciate their support!

To honor Ember’s artwork and name we re-created a graffiti piece he originally painted in 1997 and used his “outline” letters as the framework for the tribute mural we created. This way his style lives on and everyone gets to enjoy an artistic collaboration between the three of us.

NEW MURAL at the recently renovated Portland Skatepark! This piece was a very unique challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed taking on with my friends @timclorius and @_bretski over the course of 2 days of absolutely perfect Maine weathah. We added lots of color, beetles and birds, reflections and waterfalls to bring this mural together cohesively and make it unique.

Huge shoutout to @portlandmeprf and @cityportland for the support and opportunity! This is one of many pieces of public art in the city of Portland and more continue to pop up, something we are very excited about and proud to be part of. If you haven’t walked/biked/skated around and explored the city for public art, GO FOR IT!

*We used flat primer paint that we watered down considerably as the base layer so that the surface of the bowl would be altered as little as possible with the addition of the new artwork. It was very cool to watch people ride the bowl immediately after we were done painting too!
•

New MURAL up in Bangor, Maine! I had a ton of fun creating this vintage postcard themed mural for Matt and the awesome folks over at the @penobscotpour in downtown Bangor. The weather held out and I received a constant supply of positive feedback from patrons and the community while I was working on this new painting.

I think my favorite part of this mural is the lupins; bright, colorful and full of cool textures and shapes. They were one of the final aspects of this mural and I really enjoyed using a bunch of vibrant colors in them to really make this entire mural POP!
