Making this carousel is something I’ve been working on all weekend because trying to articulate something this complex in short-form copy is undeniably hard.

I actually really loved this film and think it’s a deeply compelling watch.

I also recognize the potential backlash I might get for taking this stance—but raising awareness is so much bigger than comfort. We have to stop vilifying women and letting abusive systems control the narrative.

And let’s be clear: if this level of patriarchal exploitation and public demonization happens to a wealthy white woman, marginalized folks and women of color experience it tenfold, with far fewer protections and harsher consequences.

When you watch through a trauma-informed lens, nothing about Elizabeth Holmes is a mystery. You’re simply seeing a severely traumatized woman whose facial expressions and behaviors align directly with survivor responses—which explains why she put so much faith and trust in the film team, hoping someone would finally listen.

It’s a powerful project, and it opens up a conversation we desperately need to be having—as audience members, storytellers, and a society.

Apparently, if you ask Meta’s AI about Kalie, Muse will tell you everything you want to know. Including the names, ages, and locations of Kalie’s minor children.
So Kalie is a furious mother who’s understandably very upset after Meta’s AI violated her family’s privacy.

Words feel inadequate for the heartbreak in Bend right now. My heart goes out to the families, students, and educators holding unimaginable grief today.

Re-experiencing this nightmare after Sandy Hook, Uvalde, and so many others creates a deep moral exhaustion. We are repeatedly asked to carry the weight of a system that fails to protect our children.

It is profoundly irresponsible to witness Americans dedicate endless energy to standing outside Planned Parenthood, yet remain completely silent when living children experience horrors in their classrooms or endure harm in ICE detention centers.

At the same time, we see law enforcement and government leaders continue to protect their own interests and narratives rather than genuinely serving vulnerable communities, especially CHILDREN.

We are living through profound, repeated betrayals by the very institutions meant to keep us safe. Our children deserve genuine protection, care, and dignity. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH-

I often receive messages from people asking how they can follow in my footsteps. How they can become an advocate. How they can turn what happened to them into something meaningful. How they can live up to the people calling for change.

And I want to say something very clearly: You don’t owe anyone s**t because you survived something.

You don’t owe us your story. You don’t owe us your pain in a form we can understand. You don’t need a book deal to be valid. You don’t have to dedicate your life to advocacy. You don’t have to make your trauma useful. You don’t need to find meaning in it.

I never want to model to anyone that you have to turn your trauma into triumph.

We celebrate the people who take something terrible that happened to them and build something from it. And I am one of those people. But I never want my life to become a prescription for someone else’s survival. Because there is no hierarchy of surviving!!

The person who campaigns for law reform is not more courageous than the person who never tells another soul. The person who speaks publicly is not more healed than the person who wants privacy. The person who builds an organisation is not more worthy than the person who simply wants to get on with their life.

I advocate because I had to. I talk about what happened to me because, at this point in my life, I want to. But that does not mean I believe anyone else should have to.

If you have survived something terrible, I hope you know this: your survival does not need to produce anything to be worthy. You are allowed to simply be here.

ICE literally shot a man in NYC right in front of a 5-year-old child, yet the “pro-life” crowd looks the other way. Hypocrisy and racism always go hand in hand. The lack of media coverage and national outrage while children face daily violence is abhorrent. If you truly care about life, demand justice and STAY LOUD.

A few adjustments to the facts: "Um... she... she pushed the door open! THAT'S it! And she... she... um... walked IN-- yeah, walked in and pulled his pants down FOR him" (She did none of these.)
"There's VIDEO, I SAW IT!" (You didn't. Doesn't exist. except for... one that someone went as far as doctoring the original one to try and spread.)

Then send out the commenters in every thread on the subject everywhere. The posted phones on the wall piped into the server wrangled by one or two with their script in hand, their doctored media ready to upload...

And voila! Bob's your uncle--
the narrative is changed, doordash protects themselves successfully from culpability, the male patriarchy gets to hold on to their "women false accuse men' narrative... and indecent exposure is still protected... as long as men keep delivering it within that now well tire-kicked and orchestrated plausible deniability presentation. everyone on social media will do the rest and take good care of you.

And of course we'll occasionally pause the patriarchal care during any movements to pacify the masses of outrage... with the pressure valve release social manipulation technique.

As a collective society, the consensus majority of our perceptions... are so easily shaped w/the right behavioral tools thru media. (Give him an outrage movement... let it be so effective... don't let them review the social verdicts of the past that would have been more properly seen for what they truly were.)

And social media...
with hired troll hands & replication of false "crowds" of accounts commenting to shape what we feel, however they want us to feel...

is their best, most effective tool yet.

They do it to us every time.

And it... always... benefits patriarchy, white supremacy, and/or narcissism.

While just enough complicit participants throw ever more sacrificial lambs on the fire, adept at convincing us all it was righteous... in service of keeping this power structure fed and secured.

Remember: believe women.
