POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

September 11, 2001.

I remember that day perfectly, as if it were a photograph that has remained forever impressed in my mind.

I remember the first plane hitting the tower. I remember the confusion, the disbelief, and then taking my car with my dog, Gunther, and driving to my grandmother’s house.

I had barely walked through the door when the second plane hit.

That was the moment we understood that it wasn’t an accident.

Twenty-five years have passed, but some images never really fade.

Behind the numbers were thousands of individual lives, families, friendships, dreams and stories that changed forever in a matter of hours.

Today, we remember the people who lost their lives, those who tried to save others, and everyone whose life was forever touched by that day.

Some memories are not simply remembered.

They stay with you.

We remember. 🕊️ @theconstantvegan And then there’s you… So many years have passed since we first met. When I think about that time and look at everything that has happened since, it’s incredible to realise how much life can change in all those years.

So many chapters, so many places, so many changes, and yet here we are, still connected by all those memories we share.

I hope you are doing well, wherever life has taken you.

Sending you a huge hug, with so much affection, as always. ✨✨✨

‘Bite the bullet’, ‘Clutching at straws’, and ‘Piece of cake’ are just three expressions with their origins explained in this fascinating book. Grab it from Amazon. A good book to dip in and out of when you’re feeling curious about our language.

Had some old bananas so I baked an easy banana cake with chocolate. Why chocolate? Why not!! Only took ten minutes and has just a few ingredients (flour, sugar, water, oil, baking powder/baking soda, salt, bananas, apple cider vinegar, and of course, chocolate).

BOMBAS SOCKS- One pair purchased, and one pair donated. The most requested item at homeless shelters is SOCKS. I have purchased several styles of no-shows, and I like them all. These thin lightweight no shows are great for warmer weather. See more at their web site. 💗💗💗💗💗
