Who said content creation for your small business has to be so serious? 😂 You’re building a business around something you love, so why shouldn’t you have fun sharing it? Not every piece of content needs to educate, sell or be perfectly planned. Sometimes it’s about showing your personality, having a laugh and letting people get to know the human behind the business. Because when you’re a small business owner navigating motherhood, sometimes your social media content ends up being two mums dancing to Bluey. And I’m not mad about it. 💃😂 Even better when you get to build alongside other amazing mums who are chasing their own dreams, cheering each other on and having fun along the way. A little reminder that creating content doesn’t have to feel like another chore on your never-ending to-do list. 🎄 PERTH BUSINESSES, WE’D LOVE YOUR SUPPORT! I’m planning something special this Christmas, and I’d love to bring the Perth business community together to make it as impactful as possible! Through The Brew Club Perth, I’m organising a Christmas party for women in business, with 100% of event profits donated to The Aliyah Mae Foundation, our community impact partner. 💜 The event has two main goals: ✨ Give women in business a chance to come together, connect and celebrate their achievements. Because when you work for yourself, you don’t always have a team to celebrate with! 💜 Raise important funds for The Aliyah Mae Foundation, supporting families experiencing child loss and providing care packs for children and families during emergency hospital admissions. I'm genuinely up for just about anything. 😂 A 6am workout, a beach walk, coffee, a sound bath, a hike, arts and crafts, a spontaneous adventure… or waking up ridiculously early to dance as the sun comes up. I love all of it. And if you suggest something I've never tried before, chances are I'll want to give that a go too! Got the kids? Bring them! A playcentre or playground? You can guarantee I'll be right in there joining in on the fun. 😂 But I'm also just as happy sitting on the couch in our comfy clothes, having a cuppa and talking about absolutely everything and nothing. No need to tidy the house, organise anything special or make a big fuss. Come as you are. Because for me, it's never really been about what we're doing. I just genuinely love spending time with the people I love. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's up for all of it?! What's your ideal catch-up with friends? 🤎

There is room for EVERYONE, and I genuinely believe that. Today I got to work alongside an amazing team of photographers, videographers and content creators, all while being surrounded by so many incredible women in business at an event. And days like today remind me just how much I love being in spaces where women can come together, work, laugh, connect and genuinely support each other. Because sometimes running a business can feel a little lonely, especially when you’re surrounded by people who do exactly what you do. It’s easy to fall into the mindset that we’re all competing for the same clients, the same opportunities and the same success. But the thing is, even if every single person who needed your service came knocking on your door, could you realistically serve them all? Probably not. And the people who want to work with me aren’t necessarily the same people who want to work with you. We all have different personalities, different styles, different ways of working, different strengths and different capacities. And that’s exactly why there’s room for all of us. Someone else’s success doesn’t take anything away from yours. Because there’s room for everyone. And I’d much rather be in a room full of people cheering each other on than competing with each other. 🤎

I think I used to imagine a village as people who had more to give. More time. More energy. More capacity. People who could step in when things felt heavy. Who had the time or space to help carry some of it. But some of the people who have held me most have been right in the thick of it too. Their own children needing them. Their own mental load. Their own hard days. Their own lives pulling at them. And still, somehow, there’s room. Room for a message asking how you’re going. A voice note sent in between everything else. A playdate where nobody cares about the mess. Eating something on the floor while the kids climb all over us. 😂 A conversation interrupted approximately 47 times. A simple me too when you really need to hear it. Nothing grand. Just someone beside you who gets it. And I think there’s something incredibly special about people who don’t necessarily have more to give, but still find a little something to give each other. Maybe a village isn’t always people standing outside the hard season, ready to rescue us. Maybe sometimes it’s the people right there in it with us. Doing life beside us and making sure we don’t feel like we’re doing it alone. 🤎 Tag someone who has been this kind of village for you.

Sometimes the only thing standing between you and the next connection, opportunity, friendship or idea is deciding to actually walk into the room. You don’t need to know everyone. You don’t need to feel completely confident. And you definitely don’t need to wait until someone personally invites you. Because the women you meet, the conversations you have and the opportunities that come from them only happen when you give yourself the chance to be there. Put yourself in the room.
