Are you ready for spooky season? 👻

I love this time of year because this is where creative content thrives and we get to see so many fun campaigns, but it can also mean you struggle to know what to post or even what to capture.

Halloween means November is nearly here, Black Friday and Christmas are just around the corner ….

If you haven’t booked a creative content shoot now is the time. Two power house creatives or you can even book to work with both of us 🤎🫶🏼

Book via DM or if unsure just ask and we can point you in the right direction.

Happy spooky season, may the algorithm be forever in your favour.

Farkkkk, I wasn’t expecting to cry happy tears making a post on a Wednesday, but here we are. 😅

I’ve spent so much of my life feeling like I need to do more. I’ve always felt pretty average. I’m not the smartest, I’m not the fastest, and I think I’ve always pushed myself because I’ve felt like I needed to prove my worth.

And I think that’s followed me into adulthood, especially motherhood.

I’m constantly questioning whether I’m doing enough. Whether I’m making the right decisions, whether I should be doing more, whether I’m giving my girls the best version of me.

I want to be a calmer mum, a more patient mum, a better wife, a better friend. I want to build a successful business, have more time with my family and somehow keep on top of everything in between.

And sometimes I get so caught up in everything I think I should be doing that I forget to appreciate everything I already have.

Because I have a bloody good life. And I think if we all stop to think of what we have right now and not just what we’re working towards, we will also have some happy tears.

Even if we haven’t got everything figured out yet.

So if you want to start your Wednesday with some happy tears, I really encourage you to make a post like this.

Especially if you’re a mum.

Because motherhood is f*ckinh hard. It’s loud, overstimulating, messy and exhausting. And sometimes it feels like no matter how much you do, you could always be doing more.

But it’s a role that can never be replaced.
And maybe we’re doing a much better job than we give ourselves credit for. 🤎 by @thecontentmumma_

To the mum building a business around her kids, I see you. ✨

I know you’re juggling a lot, and sometimes people won’t understand why you’re choosing to build a business when your plate is already so full.

But we know why, don’t we?

Because we want to be there for the school pick-ups, the spontaneous afternoons in the garden, the school assemblies and all those little moments that won’t stay little forever.

A traditional 9–5 doesn’t always give us that flexibility, so we’re working bloody hard to build something that does.

Today I walked my daughter to school, spent the morning co-working with some incredible women in business who have become friends, and was home in time for school pick-up.

We spent the afternoon planting flowers, making our little fairy garden and blowing bubbles.

And this afternoon I stopped to watch her and thought, this is exactly why I’m doing it all.

I’m so bloody grateful I already get to experience days like this. But I’m working towards a life where I get to choose how more of my days look.

And being able to work from anywhere is a huge part of that 🤎🫶🏼

I’ve also been loving my @snapwireless PowerPack Slim 2 Pro helping me work from anywhere. It snaps straight onto the back of my phone, charges fast and means I can keep my phone charged wherever I’m working, without having to worry about finding a power point.

And if I can build a business that gives me the freedom to live more of my days this way, surrounded by the people I love, doing work I genuinely enjoy, then that’s my version of success.

So to every mum trying to build a business that fits around her family rather than the other way around, keep going.

People might not always understand what we’re building, but they should never underestimate what we’re capable of. 🤎

Kindly gifted

Because fuck it, why not show everyone how I’m doing it so we can figure it out together?

I’m building three businesses, Brewed Socials, The Brew Club Perth and Reel PERTHect, all while raising two young girls and still working part-time.

And I’m choosing to build them publicly. The ideas, the decisions, the wins, the mistakes and all the messy bits in between.

Not because I’ve got it all figured out. Far from it. But because I’m tired of the idea that we have to choose between being ambitious, being present mothers and having a life outside of work.

The traditional 9–5 doesn’t work for every family, and I don’t want to spend the next 20 years trying to squeeze motherhood around a working week that wasn’t designed with it in mind.

So I’m building something different. And through The Brew Club, I’m creating space for other women to build their own version of that too.

I want more women to see what’s possible, learn from what works (and what doesn’t) and realise they don’t have to wait until their kids are older to start.

I’m not sharing this because I’ve made it. I’m sharing it because I’m in the middle of making it happen.

And I’d rather we all figured it out together than kept everything we’ve learnt to ourselves. taken in Perth, Western Australia by @thecontentmumma_

This day was productive maybe filming the day has that effect 😂

The funny thing about being a mum to two young girls & a social media manager is that no two days ever look the same. Combine the two and it’s twice the chaos 🤪

But as someone with ADHD, a creative brain and a love for doing a million things at once, it actually works for me. 💻 🧠 🌶️

Today was a goodie, catching up on admin before heading out to scout locations and plan the run sheet for an upcoming client content shoot.

As much as I love days like this, I also know I couldn’t work alone every day. It’s one of the reasons I started @thebrewclubperth and being able to work alongside other women in business.

I want to share more of the reality of juggling motherhood and business. The productive days, the chaotic days and everything in between. 🤟🏻

Because today was a good day, but they’re definitely not all like this. And I’m all for showing all sides, not just the highlight.

And if you’ve been thinking about starting your own business around motherhood, give it a go. You might just surprise yourself with what you’re capable of and where it could take you. ✨ by @thecontentmumma_

“You’re so motivated.”
“How do you have the energy for all of this?”
“You’ve got so much going on.”

Thanks, we’ll all it “motivation” 🤪

Definitely not the fact I’m currently functioning on very little sleep, far too much coffee, stimulant medication helping my brain feel less like it’s walking through concrete, and the ability to start another task before I’ve finished the first one.

I work part-time, I’m building a business, I have two side projects and two small children, so at this point I think my brain has just accepted that we live in organised chaos now.

Am I motivated? Absolutely.

Do I also regularly open my laptop to do one thing, remember three completely unrelated things, make a coffee, answer a message, start another idea and then wonder what I originally sat down to do?

Also absolutely.

There is a genuine reason behind all of it though. I’m building towards more flexibility, more time with my kids and a life that actually works for us. So for that I am motivated.

But for now?

ADHD.
Anxiety.
Coffee.
Medication.
Approximately four hours of sleep.

✌🏻

October is looking GOOD 👀

Two dates to get out of the house, get around other women in business and actually make some progress on the stuff you keep pushing down the list.

One day to work + connect.
One day to create + get visible.

Both links are in bio.

You don’t have to build your business alone.

Our Co-working Day is four hours to bring your laptop, your to-do list and finally get some uninterrupted work done alongside other female founders.

There’ll be time to work, chat, meet new people, bounce ideas around and, because I’ll be there too, ask me any of those social media questions you’ve been sitting on.

No awkward networking. No agenda packed with speakers. Just a room full of women getting sh*t done together.

Tuesday 13 October | 10am–2pm | Subi Space | $20

Link in Bio 🎟️

If “I need more content” has been on your to-do list for months, this is your day.

The Brewed Socials Content Day gives you four hours inside a professional studio with multiple styled sets and only five businesses per session.

Come away with a proper bank of B-roll, reels, photos and talking content you can actually use for weeks afterwards.

You’ll get a prep guide + shot list before the day, plus me there throughout to help with ideas, angles, filming and those inevitable “what should I create next?” moments.

Friday 23 October | Bassendean
Early Bird $179
Professional content upgrade +$99

My house is rarely tidy, it’s a home, I’m a type B mum who’s all about the activities less about the perfect execution.

But I hope when my girls think about their childhood, they remember that I was the mum who said yes to playing.

The mum who got the paints out. Set up the potions. Sat on the floor. Let them make the mess. Let them paint my face even though I knew I’d be scrubbing makeup off five minutes later, or leaving on it all day 🤪

Because the mess can be cleaned up.

The house can be tidied tonight.

But I can’t get another version of them at this exact age.

They might not remember every afternoon we spent like this. They probably won’t remember this exact moment.

But I will.

And I think one day I’ll be really grateful that I let myself be a kid with them sometimes, instead of spending their whole childhood worrying about keeping everything clean.

I love being their mum.

And if a little bit of chaos is the price I pay for getting to live inside these moments with them, I’ll take the chaos every time.

I love my kids. I love making memories with them. I love the random little adventures, the coffee stops, the park days, the craft mess, the cuddles, the ridiculous conversations and getting to watch them become more themselves every day.

I genuinely love being a mum.

But some days are harder.

Some days I’m overstimulated. Some days I’m touched out. Some days I’m counting down to bedtime and then feeling guilty the second they’re asleep.

And that guilt can be crushing.

Because when you love them this much, it’s easy to convince yourself you should enjoy every second.

That you should have more patience.
That you should play more.
That you should be more present.
That you shouldn’t need a break from the exact life you once hoped for.

But I’m learning that loving motherhood and finding parts of it hard can exist at the same time.

A hard day does not cancel out all the beautiful ones.

A moment of frustration does not erase all the love.

Needing space does not mean I don’t adore being their mum.

I think the guilt gets heavier when we expect ourselves to feel grateful, patient and present every second of every day.

I don’t want to spend these years punishing myself for being human.

I want to make the memories, soak up the little things, laugh with them, take the photos, go on the adventures and still give myself grace on the days when motherhood feels like a lot.

Because it is a lot, and I think we’re allowed to feel that 🤎 by @thecontentmumma_

I think I used to imagine a village as people who had more to give.

More time.
More energy.
More capacity.

People who could step in when things felt heavy.
Who had the time or space to help carry some of it.

But some of the people who have held me most have been right in the thick of it too.

Their own children needing them.
Their own mental load.
Their own hard days.
Their own lives pulling at them.

And still, somehow, there’s room.

Room for a message asking how you’re going.
A voice note sent in between everything else.
A playdate where nobody cares about the mess.
Eating something on the floor while the kids climb all over us. 😂
A conversation interrupted approximately 47 times.
A simple me too when you really need to hear it.

Nothing grand.

Just someone beside you who gets it.

And I think there’s something incredibly special about people who don’t necessarily have more to give, but still find a little something to give each other.

Maybe a village isn’t always people standing outside the hard season, ready to rescue us.

Maybe sometimes it’s the people right there in it with us.

Doing life beside us and making sure we don’t feel like we’re doing it alone. 🤎
