My love letter to the lake.
To live here is to wash away the dust left by the grind of cities, suburbs, places of demand.
To take things slow and purposefully.
To be forced to adjust to something new.
The beauty and fresh air is difficult to find anywhere else, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to appreciate it for the time that I did.
It wasn’t close to what I expected yet was everything I needed, or didn’t know that I did.
I have too much left undone, and will return in due time to pay this place the respect that it deserves properly and truly, hopefully for the rest of my time

YOU’RE INVITED TO THE SELF PORTRAIT ARCHIVE ★

The Self Portrait Archive is an evolving, participatory community archive centering Bay Area based women, nonbinary, trans, and gender expansive photographers + image makers. It serves as a collective record of self authorship and how we see ourselves emotionally, politically, relationally, experimentally, and beyond.

You are invited to submit your work to be a part of this project. We especially encourage submissions from Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latine, disabled, immigrant, mixed race, fat, older, queer, trans, chronically ill image makers or otherwise underrepresented artists.

This has been so special to begin to compile! Much love, y’all! ❣️
