It’s not hard to see why Substack has taken off in the realm of design. At a time when media is largely shaped by social algorithms and search traffic, newsletters have made the experience of reading infinitely more personal, with authors building engaged, opt-in audiences around smart, and often hyper-niche, content. Luckily for us, the platform isn’t out to replace newspapers and magazines altogether, but it does present a refreshing alternative — a conversational appeal that feels less one-directional than traditional media. Its casual nature also makes it especially well-suited to summer reading, offering low-commitment coverage that’s easy to dip into.

We concluded our presence at @nycxdesign with an intimate dinner at our New York showroom, gathering around the table in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly felt like home.

Together with Carla Hartman, architects, designers and members of the press, we shared a very special evening celebrating the launch of the Lucia Eames™ collection.

Throughout the night, conversations unfolded around the collaboration with the @eamesoffice , alongside personal stories and anecdotes about Lucia’s life, creativity and inspiring trajectory.

A beautiful and meaningful way to close an unforgettable week in New York.

ICFF!!! Day 19 of 30 days of Design where I’ll be taking you to my favorite art, furniture and design galleries across New York. We are closing out design week soon but couldn’t not take you to the goat of nyc trade shows ICFF. This is the International Contemporary furniture fair. Now this is a large scale architectural and design trade show. I won’t bring you to see the whole show but I will bring you to my very favorite part of the show. Wanted and look book where you can find new maker and artist that are more refined one of a kind type designs but obviously customizable because we are designers. This is always curated so well by design release and I am always blown aways with the vendors. These are the most inspiring pieces to me and I hope you enjoy getting a peak as well. OneOfOne is a lived-in gallery housed in a West Village duplex loft once home to artists Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel — makers of the Metronome at Union Square. The space shows paintings, installations, and furniture together, experienced not in a white cube but inside an actual home. For NYCxDesign, we’re opening the doors to the work of 14 artists and designers whose pieces live here the way objects do when they belong somewhere — used, inhabited, in conversation with everything around them. 
Curated by Shawn Tang and Eno Chen, supported by patron Chris Zhu.
