Friends! Turns out October 17 is BUSYYYY... there's so many events going on that day, including for other arts organizations (FRANK, Franklin Street Arts Collective, WHUP). We want to make sure our friends have successful fundraisers, so we've decided to move The Athenaeum to the spring.

Mark your calendars now for Saturday, May 8th, 2:30-6:30, Spring Forest Farm, and start planning your outfit!🥂🌷🌱👑

Tickets are on sale! Link in bio!

Esta es nuestra manera de percibir el hogar: desde las personas y el lugar de donde venimos. La calidez de nuestro techo, nuestro cobijo, y la sensación de protección y comodidad.

What if, for one afternoon, there was no audience?
Only participants.

On October 17, we’re creating The Athenaeum — a one-day celebration of the arts inspired by the ancient Greek gathering places where artists, thinkers, performers and citizens came together to exchange ideas and experience culture.

But this isn’t a recreation of the past.
It’s our interpretation of it.

A world unfolding throughout @springforestcommunity with live music, performance, food, drinks, art and unexpected encounters — and no prescribed way to experience any of it.

Wander. Stay awhile. Follow the music. Find something you weren’t looking for.

Come dressed for the world if you’d like. Become part of it.

And most importantly, come celebrate the arts with us.

Proceeds from The Athenaeum will help support arts programming throughout Orange County. @artsorangenc

Some of the best things begin with a shared vision.

Hillsborough Design House wasn’t created because we wanted to start another design company. It was created because we believe beautiful spaces have the power to change the way people gather, connect, and celebrate everyday life.

Together, we bring different backgrounds in design, curation, craftsmanship, art, and creative direction. What unites us is a shared belief that every space has a story, every gathering deserves intention, and every project should leave people feeling something.

Whether we’re design-staging a home, designing an interior, or creating an unforgettable experience, our goal is always the same: to create spaces with soul, creat connection and build community.

We’re so grateful you’re here as we begin this journey.

Welcome to Hillsborough Design House.

We believe every home deserves to tell its story. Our role is to help buyers imagine themselves becoming part of it.

For this beautiful Chapel Hill home, we thoughtfully staged each space to highlight the home’s warmth, natural light, and timeless character, creating an atmosphere that feels elevated and effortlessly livable.

As we continue building Hillsborough Design House, we’ve realized we’re not simply staging or interior designing homes, we’re filling a space we felt was missing. We believe luxury is defined by thoughtful curation, meaningful craftsmanship, and spaces that make people feel something the moment they walk through the door.

Our approach is rooted in collecting, not decorating. We blend vintage finds with contemporary pieces, artisan craftsmanship with modern design, creating homes with depth, character, and soul. Every piece is intentionally chosen, and every piece you see is available to purchase, allowing buyers to bring home not just beautiful design, but the feeling that made them fall in love with the space.

Set on 4.5 peaceful acres just minutes from town, this home is a reminder that beautiful design is about revealing what was already there.

To our clients thank you for trusting Hillsborough Design House with such a special project.

What does a full life look like to you?

Maybe it’s a full table.
A full house.
A long conversation.
Morning coffee that turns into an hour.
Fresh bread still warm from the oven.
Friends who stay longer than planned.
Children running through the house.
Sunlight across linen.
A home that is lived in, not just looked at.

At Hillsborough Design House, we believe beautiful spaces aren’t the destination, they’re the setting for the moments that make life feel full.

This is the beginning of our story.

When you think of a full life, what’s the first image that comes to mind? A messy bed with Linnean sheets
