Travel reshaped the rhythm of life for The Bucket List Family.

For Garrett and Jessica Gee, alongside Dorothy, Manilla, and Cali, life “on the road” was made even more special when their 100th country was a meaningful trip to visit Garrett’s roots in the Philippines.

For our April cover, we spotlight The Bucket List Family who chose a less rooted, but more intentional life.

Garrett and Jessica Gee, together with their children, Dorothy, Manilla, and Callahan, started out on a short trip overseas, then if evolved into a journey of raising a family across continents—100 countries, and counting, with a meaningful stop in the Philippines.

But beyond the movement, their life looks strikingly familiar: shared meals, school routines, and the everyday teamwork of raising grounded children.

Because for the Gee family, it was never just about where they go. It’s about how they grow—together.

My August ~

My vacation was significant, and I enjoyed the people I met, the relationships I formed with them, and the places I visited. I became burnt out during the past months as a result of midyear school, work, and personal issues. I led two significant campaigns for brands which is @casaselma.ph that took place in Cebu and @celestialskinph in Manila.

While loving what I am doing, I can feel the pressure and it consumes me. I don't have time to waste that time, and I felt bad for myself because we had planned a picture session of my grandparents in the province, but it never happened because of my busy schedule. ang sikip parang eskinita.

Sadly, my lolo passed away, but after I visited him at his funeral, I realized that he is happy with where I am now. I miss him. I would like to stay for a few days, but I am unable to reschedule my Palawan flight. So I leave.

Even though I have editing deadlines. I managed how to work from buses, airplanes, and cars. I learned how to edit while traveling without feeling queasy or throwing up.

Palawan have a special place in my heart. As I find comfort in the ocean and the power to filled-up my creative juices again. 🌊
