Where is home when the family is always on the move?

Jessica and Garrett Gee of The Bucket List Family open up about parenting on the move, building routines across 100+ countries, discovering new cultures, and staying grounded as a family and as partners.

It’s a rare, honest look into family life where belongingness and wanderlust come together.

Only on Modern Parenting Couch Talk.

Travel reshaped the rhythm of life for The Bucket List Family.

For Garrett and Jessica Gee, alongside Dorothy, Manilla, and Cali, life “on the road” was made even more special when their 100th country was a meaningful trip to visit Garrett’s roots in the Philippines.

For our April cover, we spotlight The Bucket List Family who chose a less rooted, but more intentional life.

Garrett and Jessica Gee, together with their children, Dorothy, Manilla, and Callahan, started out on a short trip overseas, then if evolved into a journey of raising a family across continents—100 countries, and counting, with a meaningful stop in the Philippines.

But beyond the movement, their life looks strikingly familiar: shared meals, school routines, and the everyday teamwork of raising grounded children.

Because for the Gee family, it was never just about where they go. It’s about how they grow—together.
