Huge thank you to everyone involved in the Crackedankles Weekend 2026. What was your highlight? The crowd was superb. Gave every band full respect and attention, and were up for it right from early doors. Lots of smiles, laughter and dancing. Thank you. You keep venues open, bands encouraged and labels running. The bands! Wow. Every single band was superb. Asking around who was their favourite and every band got a mention off someone, which is about right. Not a smattering of ego anywhere, and great to see every band watching and supporting the other bands. Thanks for your time, your art and for and trusting us. Great to see ‘unknowns’ like dull, Housework and 8-B1tch blowing people away. Great to see how ‘older’ bands like TV Face, Yaang, Polypores, Whinge, Hauspoints, and dead things have grown and blossomed. Each one have upped their game and put in a headline worthy performance. The out of towners demolished ears a plenty. Thee Alcoholics, Mister Strange, Dead Stilettos, Empty Cut, Grafters were all superb. Thanks to Baboon for stepping in to save the day. Not our finest performance but people seemed to have fun. And my brothers in Blizzard for their constant support in what we do. Cheers lads. Huge love to the Crackedankles merch team of Jo and Mands, fuelled only by pizza slices, scathing wit and vodka. Char and our Billy for the amazing pizzas. Preston folk: keep your eye on his page to see where he’ll be popping up next. And last, but by no means least, we must thank the incredible staff at the country’s finest venue The Ferret. Matt, Zoe, Ian (get well soon!) and the rest of the staff who worked tirelessly and kept the weekend well lubricated. Thank you all. Next release news in a few weeks, but in the meantime it’s time to put our feet up, have a beer and watch shit telly. Cheers!!!

Commencing proceedings next Friday at strange brew we have Rocket Recordings’ notorious Thee Alcoholics. Thee Alcoholics are experts in noise rock, recklessly combining distortion, psychedelia, drone and kraut into sounds reminiscent of The Fall, The Heads & Chrome. The band and their performances have been described as a “churning, doomy, krauty racket” and a “relentless brick to your face”. Witness it and believe it! Tix running low!
