POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Commencing proceedings next Friday at strange brew we have Rocket Recordings’ notorious Thee Alcoholics.

Thee Alcoholics are experts in noise rock, recklessly combining distortion, psychedelia, drone and kraut into sounds reminiscent of The Fall, The Heads & Chrome. The band and their performances have been described as a “churning, doomy, krauty racket” and a “relentless brick to your face”. Witness it and believe it!

THEE ALCOHOLICS
Thee Alcoholics could be loosely assigned the noise-rock genre tag, but it’s so much more. The sound of the London five piece, formed by ex Hey Colossus member Rhys Llewellyn, is a reckless mix of distorted guitars, pounding rhythms, and howling vocals that summon the spirits of wild nights and bad decisions. A churning, doomy, krauty racket somewhere between Chrome, The Heads and The Fall at their most cantankerous. taken in Doornroosje by @theealcoholics

Today sees the release of our Bear Bites Horse Sessions album. A very special release for the band. Recorded live on a miserable rainy day on the 28th March 2024 by the lovely Wayne Adam’s in his wonderful cosy studio in East London. We had just finished touring and were having fun with the songs. There is prob 4-5 that didn’t make the record which I am sure will see the light of day at some stage too. The band was fizzing and confident that day 🔊 This is our 2nd album released on Rocket Recordings in 2024 who support & believe in the music & the group & we can’t thanks them enough. Little Mouse Creates’ wonderful art was bright to life by Chris Reeder making this record shine & look amazing ✨
The group celebrate the release with a handful of shows with some close friends starting next week

08 Nov > Tiny Rebel, Cardiff 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
09 Nov > Esquires, Bedford 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

This Friday sees the release of this very special new album by Thee Alcoholics - the fiery results of the session the band had with Wayne Adams in his legendary Bear Bites Horse Studio.

Here is a glimpse of the ltd to 250 copy vinyl that can be preordered from all good record shops and from rocketrecordings.com.

If you own records by The Fall, The Heads, and Butthole Surfers then you need this beauty to join them before they all disappear.
