🤯 4th most expensive race in THE STATE of CA!! Crazy… who would’ve thought 😅 flattering , as is imitation. They want to suppress our communities, they think you won’t do your research. That’s why we need YOU to help us meet our goal within the next 24 hours! Because this is a campaign by and for the people! Big interests have the $$ to smear and twist messaging, but our communities are smarter than that and can see who is funding these nasty tactics. Who supports us, directly or indirectly tells you everything you need to know. Corporations & billionaires chose their candidate, I’m asking you to choose yours 🙌💙🗳️ let’s get it! In 1923, my great-grandparents immigrated to Los Angeles from Chihuahua, Mexico, with 11 kids and settled in West Adams. For over a century, LA has been good to our family. From working in the lumber business to grocers to my parents serving as LAUSD teachers, we helped build this city.
Today, that legacy lives on through Casa Victoria on Sunset Blvd. We are a small vintage furniture shop operating out of a historic 1920’s bungalow court. We have no alleyway, no driveway, and no private loading zone.
Our business relies entirely on curb access. It’s how we load Warner Brothers studio trucks for the film industry, how interior decorators pick up heavy pieces, and how our residential tenants live.
Now, the city’s Sunset road diet plan to strip away curb access, 72 percent of the parking and reduce Sunset Blvd to just one general traffic lane threatens to choke us out entirely.
From the Echo Park Christmas parades to lowriders slowly cruising down four lanes of Sunset on a Sunday afternoon, Sunset Blvd is the heartbeat of our culture. Stripping the curb doesn’t just hurt traffic—it destroys the survival of historic, independent small businesses.
We love this city, and we want to keep building it 🛑👇. WE NEED YOUR VOICE TODAY. Please go to the link in our bio to visit Savesunset.com. There are two minute actions you can take to message city officials and help protect our street. Watch, share this with your friends and neighbors and help us Save Sunset. #casavictoriala #savesunset #smallbusiness #sunsetblvd #losangeles

@utlanow SHAME ON YOU!

LET OUR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS GO FROM THE POLITICAL GRIP YOU HAVE THEM IN! LET THEM MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS BY OUR KIDS, YOUR TEACHERS AND EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS OUR SCHOOL CAMPUSES ON A DAILY BASIS! YOU ALREADY CREATED A FINANCIAL CRISIS FOR THEM, DON’T BE THE MAIN REASON OUR SAFETY CRISIS AT LAUSD CONTINUES!

@calirising_ and @cd1coalition stands with @red_de_padres_por_la_seguridad the parents, students and staff members of our public schools in demanding that our school site principals be given the right to have LA School Police Officers back on campuses like Franklin High School that has had multiple student and public safety issues in and around the campus; while audits and other investigations into the return on alternative investments over the past 5 years are shared with the parents and tax payers by the end of this calendar year!

At #FranklinHighSchool, Xavier’s aunt says he’d been bullied since sophomore year and wanted to switch schools. A classmate says he was punched repeatedly before running from class, while another student at the vigil said some witnesses “didn’t act or do anything.” Four of six parents interviewed there said their own kids had faced bullying. LAPD is investigating as #HighlandPark presses #LAUSD for answers. 👀🧠
