Thursday night! (4.17)

@theedeaconblu and I will be spinning at @sl33pingvillag3 from 9am-close - back together spinning for the first time in a minute! Stop by, have a drink, say hello and catch a vibe! No cover, just good energy and a good time. We are @rhythmsoflifechi.

*Rhythms Of Life—named from earth-shaking grooves by Mike Lundy, James Mason, et al.—is genre agnostic, centered on what makes the leg/heart/brain axis move absentmindedly, intrinsically. The traditions of the African musical diaspora, international permutations of the funk, psychedelia, and more, are alive and well within the Rare Grooves and jazzy, spiritual vibrations transmitted by the Rhythms Of Life selectors, with Jazz-Funk, that good groove, and early Jazz Fusion as their core. Rhythms Of Life is an all-vinyl listening experience brought to you by the twin forces of music industry maven J. Kergylle (The Conservatory Vintage & Vinyl/@ConservatoryShop, @GotKindaLost Records, @NTS_Radio) and internationally-renown jazz bassist Junius Paul (International Anthem Records/@IntlAnthem, Art Ensemble Of Chicago, @MakayaMcCraven, etc.).

@conservatoryshop got that 🔥
It’s written all over my face 😝

Today was one for the books! My man @tonebnimble has an eclectic array of used and new vinyl. I found so many gems. My wallet hurts 😂 Also the vintage furniture and home decor they have there, GEEZ 🙌🏾

SUPPORT THIS SHOP

Anyway, the records were just a part of this magical day. It was really a pleasure to hang with @showherlife and @theedeaconblu too! I appreciate the hospitality.
