POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A belated thank you to my coaches BC and Bentley at Ybor City Jiu-Jitsu. Their time, instruction, and encouragement enabled division wins at Pans and Worlds this year. I also want to thank all my other coaches, training partners/open mat friends, and Jen Hatfield for their support on this journey. 🤙

Clips from this mornings 6 AM Thresher sessions. I worked a lot of the passes, submissions and transitions we’ve been teaching in the 1030 AM classes. As always, I want to showcase how bad ass jiujitsu can be, and hopefully inspire others to try it out. Happy training 🙏🏽

Clips from some of our recent training sessions. There was a real emphasis on cowboy ducks, cartwheels and razor locks during these sessions. If you’re interested in training with us don’t be shy to reach out, and happy training 🙏🏽

I’ve been working this finish for a while in training, and I got the chance to hit it full speed this weekend. This was a technique I had to ask my friend and wrestling coach @boyerz1 about. Once you get past purple belt everyone has good single leg defense, and rotating into a high crotch can get you guillotined or butterfly swept. Staying outside usually gets you stuck below the knee and burning energy trying to build height to finish. This finish focuses on working back out front and crossing your opponent’s legs, so hip mobility and power both get eliminated. It works great for freestyle into a leg lace, but also for mma with being able to bundle the legs and begin the Khabib series immediately. Hopefully someone out there likes it and can find use for it themselves. 🤙🏽
