POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m happy and relieved to have seen a dream come true. I’m also nervous of knowing there’s no going back, no more easy matches, and the responsibility the belt brings. Regardless of any of those feelings I’m grateful to be able to pursue this passion daily, I’m blessed to have the physical health and able mind to continue forward, and more than anything I am happy.

Thank you @greatodinsbeard for always believing in me, pushing me and helping me master my style of jiujitsu since day 1.

Over the last 2 years, @redtide_bc & @one_eyed_jac have been great friends, mentors and training partners who have helped me grow, get more comfortable and be more versatile on the mats. I can actually go to my back now 😂 Thank you guys so much.

And lastly @teamzapatabjj, thank you for identifying that I’m very much like you, we both enjoy competition. I used to sign up for events last second by myself and Ben would be there competing and coaching his students, but he would find time to coach me for no reason other than that he is a good person who wanted to see me succeed. That has always meant so much to me, I’ll forever appreciate your kindness and direction.

This lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but I love it.
Training, competing and teaching truly make me happy.
So, I can say, I am happy. I am grateful. I am blessed.
And I will be back on the mats getting better tomorrow. 🙏🏽 by @theee_bentley

Story time. I once was just like Cyrus, me and thousands of other kids, the only difference is my Asian man didn’t pull the trigger.
