POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today, I officially graduated from the ILLUSTRIOUS Clark Atlanta University🐾“CCCC AAAA UUUU, CAU”! This is such a bittersweet moment for me because I created so many memories and met so many amazing people along the way from different places. I’m proud to say that I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Arts. That department taught me so much that I never imagined I would need to learn in order to succeed in the media field.

I also learned more about my history than I ever did in high school. Now that I know more, I want to continue sharing that knowledge with my people so we never forget where we came from.

Today, I also join the 25–30% of Black men who graduate from college, one of the most underrepresented groups in America. We often have to work 10 times harder just to gain recognition in this world, which makes this accomplishment even more meaningful.

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” — Malcolm X

I’m so proud of all my brothers and sisters who shared the stage with me today. This is a moment we should never forget, a moment that can hopefully inspire those coming behind us to want more for themselves as well.

As Black people, we are original, resilient, and powerful. Despite everything meant to break our spirit, we continue to show up with positive energy, strength, and purpose. From our ancestors being scattered throughout the four corners of the earth (Deuteronomy 28:64) to us now being able to build and own things for ourselves, our journey is a testament to perseverance and faith.

Now, I will continue to pray and allow the Most High (YHWH) to guide my footsteps into the real world, because He has a plan for every single one of us. We just have to trust Him and find our purpose through Him. 🙏🏾
(Jeremiah 29:11)

Thank you, CAU/AUC, for this unforgettable experience. And to all my brothers and sisters: GO BE GREAT 🩵🩷🐾

Blessings & Shalom!🦋
