Water station shenanigans at the Cardiff Half 2026 💜🩵

Well, what can we say? Each year we think it can’t get better, and then it does!

This year’s volunteers were amazing! Organised, hard-working, supportive and full of energy!

We had over 30 She Runners, Venture Scouts and a large collection of experienced and new volunteers too at the 11 mile water station on Roath park lake.

Such great support for all the runners, especially our members.

Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day. You are all superstars!

Wel, beth allwn ni ei ddweud? Bob blwyddyn rydyn ni’n meddwl na all pethau fynd yn well, ac yna mae’n gwneud!

Roedd gwirfoddolwyr eleni yn anhygoel! Trefnus, gweithgar, cefnogol ac yn llawn egni!

Roedd gennym ni dros 30 o Redwyr mae hi’n rhedeg, Sgowtiaid Menter a chasgliad mawr o wirfoddolwyr profiadol a newydd hefyd yn yr orsaf ddŵr 11 milltir ar lyn parc y Rhath.

Cefnogaeth mor wych i’r holl redwyr, yn enwedig ein haelodau.

Diolch i bawb a helpodd allan ar y diwrnod. Rydych chi i gyd yn sêr!

The best part? The people.

The community that was built, hearing people’s storie, learning what had brought them to the start line, their goals, the laughs, the encouragement, watching people push themselves...

Beyond ecstatic for everyone I had the privilege of running alongside🏅

Da iawn pawb a wnaeth rhedeg hanner Caerdydd! Well done everyone that ran the Cardiff half!

Incredibly proud of @elevatewithelen for smashing a PB despite suffering from heat stroke at the finish line.

I couldn't run this year due to having a lil baby in tow and the FOMO was too much so I thought, why not volunteer?

Definitely recommend!

Diolch @theextramilers for the fun morning 🥰❤️

Pacing debut 🏅

A whole new way of experiencing one of my favourite days of the year!

My heart is so full after today — supporting people through their race, celebrating so many PBs and personal achievements, being part of the incredible running community, and having so many lovely chats along the way!

There’s something pretty special about helping someone get to their finish line and being there to share a tiny part of their achievement 🫶🏻

What a privilege to experience race day from a completely different perspective 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

🏃‍♀️ Girlguiding Cymru at the Cardiff Half Marathon 2026 🏃‍♂️

What a day! 💙
A huge thank you to our brilliant Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and Leaders from Girlguiding Cardiff and East Glamorgan, along with Girlguiding Cymru Deputy chief commissioner Caryn, who all went above and beyond as part of the Extra Milers volunteer team.

From bag drop and safety pins to cheering runners on and snapping proud finish-line medal photos for runners, you were there every step of the way, and even helped a few runners who needed extra support. 🏅

We’re so proud and privileged to have represented Girlguiding again at such an incredible event. Thank you to all our volunteers and The Extra Milers team for making it so memorable! 💙

A huge well done to Sarah-Jane from Girlguiding Central Glamorgan for completing the half marathon today!

❤️Cardiff Half Marathon❤️

I promised my runners I’d bring them home in sub 3 hours,

We came home in 2:59:16.

I cried at the finish line, after I got my medal, and again as I left. And I’m welling up as I’m writing this. I am so proud of everyone I ran with today.

Team 3 hours, you excelled yourselves. You dug deep and you kept going, and I hope you’re as proud of yourselves as I am of every single one of you.

It was a privilege to be your pacer and that was, without a doubt, the best Cardiff Half I’ve ever run, and I’ll never forget it.

I don’t often post a flat lay to the grid, but Cardiff Half is my favourite race ever, and to be running it as a Pacer is an absolute dream come true.

This mornings shakeout run at Pacer pace felt incredible. I am honestly so excited for tomorrow!

See you in the morning Yellow Pen, get some sleep and some extra carbs and I’ll see you on North Road.

Let’s run Cardiff Half Marathon!
