Water station shenanigans at the Cardiff Half 2026 💜🩵

Well, what can we say? Each year we think it can’t get better, and then it does!

This year’s volunteers were amazing! Organised, hard-working, supportive and full of energy!

We had over 30 She Runners, Venture Scouts and a large collection of experienced and new volunteers too at the 11 mile water station on Roath park lake.

Such great support for all the runners, especially our members.

Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day. You are all superstars!

Helynt gorsaf ddŵr yn Hanner Pencampwriaeth Caerdydd 2026 💜🩵

Wel, beth allwn ni ei ddweud? Bob blwyddyn rydyn ni’n meddwl na all pethau fynd yn well, ac yna mae’n gwneud!

Roedd gwirfoddolwyr eleni yn anhygoel! Trefnus, gweithgar, cefnogol ac yn llawn egni!

Roedd gennym ni dros 30 o Redwyr mae hi’n rhedeg, Sgowtiaid Menter a chasgliad mawr o wirfoddolwyr profiadol a newydd hefyd yn yr orsaf ddŵr 11 milltir ar lyn parc y Rhath.

Cefnogaeth mor wych i’r holl redwyr, yn enwedig ein haelodau.

Diolch i bawb a helpodd allan ar y diwrnod. Rydych chi i gyd yn sêr! by @theextramilers

Da iawn pawb a wnaeth rhedeg hanner Caerdydd! Well done everyone that ran the Cardiff half!

Incredibly proud of @elevatewithelen for smashing a PB despite suffering from heat stroke at the finish line.

I couldn't run this year due to having a lil baby in tow and the FOMO was too much so I thought, why not volunteer?

Definitely recommend!

Diolch @theextramilers for the fun morning 🥰❤️

Pacing debut 🏅

A whole new way of experiencing one of my favourite days of the year!

My heart is so full after today — supporting people through their race, celebrating so many PBs and personal achievements, being part of the incredible running community, and having so many lovely chats along the way!

There’s something pretty special about helping someone get to their finish line and being there to share a tiny part of their achievement 🫶🏻

What a privilege to experience race day from a completely different perspective 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

MONDAY MENTION 📢

Meet Neil and Janine!
Neil & Janine signed up to volunteer on the Bag Drop at Barry Island 10k as part of a group with their local gym and loved it SO MUCH, they have volunteered at every road race since!!
They are now signed up to the Bag Drop at Cardiff Half on 4th October and cannot wait!😍

We asked them why they keep coming back and Janine said "We love being able to interact with others on the Bag Drop and also the people running of all abilities, it's always a good vibe!"

Want to be a Cardiff Half Hero?
Help us out at the Bag Drop by following the link in our bio!

A massive shoutout to our @theextramilers volunteers. 👏

From the first runner off the start line to the final finishers crossing the line, you were there - cheering, supporting and keeping the energy high.

We couldn’t do it without you.
