ANNOUNCING 8/14-8/16
Il Brutto, La Fina
With… @erind_f of @ilbruttoaustin & up and coming @casafina.atx

A 9 course Mediterranean Conversation between Il Brutto and Casa Fina

Before Casa Fina officially opens its doors to Austin, Midnight in the Garden invites you to pull up a chair for an exclusive first taste, served at twilight.

At the center of this evening is Chef Erind Halilaj, whose culinary story began in Albania, took shape in the bustling kitchens of Italy, and eventually carried him across Europe and the United States. As Executive Chef of Il Brutto, Erind has refined a style rooted in tradition, thoughtful creativity, and a deeply held belief that exceptional ingredients should be treated honestly—and always served with genuine hospitality.

Now, that journey enters its next chapter.

For this limited engagement, Chef Erind brings Il Brutto and the forthcoming Casa Fina together at one table. Moving from the regional cooking of Italy into a spirited, sun-drenched exploration of Spain, the multi-course menu will reveal the ingredients, techniques, and traditions these neighboring cultures share—as well as the places where they beautifully disagree.

Expect an evening where the black-and-white, fountain-wading romance of Fellini meets the saturated color, sly sensuality, and electric emotion of Almodóvar. What unfolds is a conversation of fire and salt, restraint and abundance, old-world memory and modern Austin imagination.

This is not fusion for fusion’s sake. It is the story of a chef shaped by movement, curiosity, and the joy of gathering: two culinary languages, one Mediterranean spirit, and an intimate glimpse of what Chef Erind is creating next.

Seating is intentionally limited.

Come meet Casa Fina before the rest of Austin does.
