Hypermobility isn’t just about bendy joints. 🧬

Connective tissue is everywhere in your body, so when it’s extra stretchy, symptoms can show up far beyond your joints. Pain, gut issues, temperature swings, crushing fatigue.

And it often doesn’t travel alone. Meet “the trifecta”:

🦴 hEDS / HSD: loose, unstable joints, chronic pain, easy bruising
💓 POTS: a form of dysautonomia. Your heart races and you feel dizzy or wiped out when you stand, especially in the heat
🌸 MCAS: mast cells overreact, causing flushing, hives, itching, and reactions that look like allergies

Some doctors sum it up as “bendy, itchy, and dizzy.”Why do they cluster? Researchers are still working that out. The leading theory is that stretchy blood vessels let blood pool, which strains your nervous system. On top of that, MCAS and POTS can feed off each other.

How common is it? In one study of women with HSD/hEDS, more than half had POTS, about a third had MCAS, and 1 in 4 had all three.

If this sounds like you, look for a provider who knows connective tissue disorders. And keep moving: strength and stability training beats more stretching. 💪

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this year run so smoothly, and to all the tremendous talent who make this law and med conference one you can’t miss.

I’m especially grateful to @joerodonis , head coach at @tonal , and @sanjivlalofficial , co-founder of @regen.therapy.official, for helping launch our newest educational track: Longevity. You’ve worked so hard to build successful businesses, but our health often pays the price. Joe kicked off LDG on the MainStage alongside Sanjiv, sharing years of clinical data on fitness and cellular health to help you feel like you did before business and family took over 💪🏽. Joe also led a power-packed workout (and let Poppy and Josie show what their mama gave them 😝). Whether you wanted to start outside-in or inside-out, we had you covered.

The energy continued with breakout lectures and treatments in our Longevity Lab. @thefixwellnesslounge spoke on why cellular health and communication should come first before investing in other treatments, and offered peptide and Cell Factor consults 🧬. The Fix also provided hands on strength and pain-relief treatments from @emsculptneo and @neufitrfp provided hands-on treatments for strength and pain, and @dropfusioniv was back to jump-start us after a few long nights 💦… and so much more!

I’m sure there was incredible law, med, AI and business education too, but I stay in my wellness lane and leave that to the pros 😉
