What an incredibly inspiring and rewarding weekend performing my solo show, NERVOUS BREAKDOWN IN G MINOR, for 3 shows to such responsive audiences at @steppenwolfthtr this past weekend! My heart is full of gratitude:

-To the incredible team at Steppenwolf, Patrick, Matt, Sean, and Kara, thank you for the warmest of welcomes and all the support provided to make sure I was comfortable and ready to share this show. Your work to uplift Chicago artists is very meaningful, and I am truly appreciative of the opportunity to perform in the @stclookout series. I’ll always cherish the inspiration and artist growth I gained from the experience.

-To @mo.pianist, your extraordinary talent and exuberant musicianship is so central to the experience of this show, and I feel so lucky and thankful to get to collaborate with you.

-To @lucy.whipp, I am so deeply grateful for not only the technical prowess and artistic splendor you brought to the show but for your kind and generous spirit in making everyone in the room feel seen, safe, and thus able to approach each perform with absolute assurance.

-To my collaborators @hipchickmusic and @arlenemalinowski, thank you for your guidance in helping me shape the show to what it is today.

-To my partner, @thefound, thank you for being a rock for me not only during this iteration of the show but also during this entire 5 year show development process. Here’s what you need to know for tomorrow’s 7/10 Heated Rivalry listening event brought to you by the Repo girlies.

We’ll be playing songs from the album starting at 6, and we’ll pull a raffle winner for a signed double sided poster at the end of that portion of event. Then fans have the option of sticking around to hear more music from the show, while our staff hosts a trivia (quizzo style) contest. We have a second signed poster to give to the winner of that contest.

Any pre-orders or purchases made tomorrow (since release date is 7/10 we will have the album available in the morning until we sell out) will get a free tote bag, sticker , and flat thingy. We also have a bunch of stickers and flats to give out to everyone who didn’t purchase the album and comes to the event at 6.

*for the 21+ fans, we have complimentary @newtrailbrewing IPA to sip on

This should be a fun one, so come on out and party with us!! All are invited.
