🎃 october stack 🎃

I was tagged by so many fantastic babes to do an October stack and OOTD - THANK YOU! It always makes me feel so special 💋

October is one of my favorite months of the year, and Halloween is my second favorite holiday (next to Christmas) 🎃 so I’m always a little extra hype this month.

I got this cute Spoopy Snoopy sleep romper and it is so freakin cute and cozy!

My stack features some excellent books. Octobers are especially great for snuggling up with a book.

Have a great weekend!
Love y’all. Mean it.

🎃 books before bookstagram 🎃

My girls, @thatdirtybooknerd and @entwine_ink wanted to know what I was reading before joining this corner of the internet, and well.. it was a lil’ bit of everything. Here’s just a sample.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë - read this at 17 and was never the same.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - ‘We accept the love we think we deserve.’ 🤯

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn - I read this in my early twenties and it altered by brain chemistry.

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens - No notes. 10/10. BEAUTIFUL, beautiful story. I was satisfied with movie adaptation as well.

Poe: Edgar Allan Poe Stories - Poe and I go waaaay back.

The GOD Delusion by Richard Dawkins - this book was instrumental in the deconstructing of my religious trauma.

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides - The plot twist had me staring at the wall. How I didn’t catch it sooner is beyond me. Loved this book.

The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir - I was/am the weird kid obsessed with the Tudor dynasty.

Dark History of The Tudors by Judith John - see above*

What are some books you read before Bookstagram?

It’s the first day of Fall! 🍂

Love y’all. Mean it. 💋

So I was tagged by @morallygreyaddict to say what I’m reading, listening to, playing, and watching at the moment. So here we go!

Reading: Count Zero by William Gibson and On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers. In a bit of slump at the moment so reading is slow.

Listening to: a mix of things to be honest, but quite a bit of Death Cab for Cutie.

Playing: aah Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. What a game. Not ready for it to end. Doesn’t take much to get through the story, so I’m just trying to get through other bits before I have to end it. Everything about this game is exceptional; the music (SOUND ON!), the visuals, the characters, the acting, the story…quite simply, this is a masterpiece.

Watching: Canadian Traitors! Only have season 3 in the U.K. but watching it nonetheless. Love me some social deduction gaming.

Tagging a few, absolutely no pressure at all!

Tagged by @addictivelybookish to spell out a bad word for Words Wednesday, I’ve used some classic science fiction to spell out the classic insult: ‘blackguard’.

I’ve tagged a few to pick your own word to spell! Excited to see what you come up with!

4) Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace
5) Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by @susannaclarke_
6) Perdido Street Station by China Mieville
7) Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

Tagged a few, no pressure!

How many of these have you read?

🚩 my bookish red flags 🚩

My humble thoughts and opinions that could be considered red flags….are they red flags, though?

Do you relate to any of these?

Had to jump on the trend..

Don’t like my taste in books? Cool, cool. Also, I don’t care.

As the great Peter Parker once said : ‘I think I missed the part where that’s my problem.’

We’re all entitled to like what we like. If it’s something you don’t agree with, that’s okay, but please keep that nonsense away from me 😉

Thanks for the tag, beauties 💋

🦋 matchy matchy 🦋

I was tagged by @entwine_ink and @thatdirtybooknerd to do a ‘match your nails to your books’ challenge. As usual, I I had to get theatrical with it. I just love playing with colors and visuals. 🖌️

Remember to drink your water and live passionately 🌀

Love y’all. Mean it. 💙

📚 books released the year I was born: 1990 📚

Thank you to everyone who tagged me! 💋

I’ve read all of these, except for Good Omens!

My dad and I used to listen to Patricia Cornwell and Dean Koontz on cassette (CASSETTE!!) tape.
Jurassic Park was my first Sci-Fi read, and I became obsessed.

I hope everyone enjoys their Wednesday!

Love y’all! Mean it! 💋
