I’ve been learning a lot lately

The Fun Side is starting to catch its stride, and in this season of expansion there’s one insight that has been pounding me over the head, refusing to be ignored or kept to myself :

Every single person who has a seat at the table (truly EVERY single one)

Is not there because they’re special

Or more talented

Or smarter

Or born worthy of something other people are not.

They are eating at that table simply because they had the balls to walk up to it, pull out a seat and sit down.

It doesn’t really matter whether you’re shaking with imposter syndrome or fully confident.

All that matters is that you claim your seat.

And the only qualifications needed to do that are belief, audacity, and persistence.

So if you want a seat at the table, don’t wait for someone to invite you over and convince you that you belong there.

Just walk up and sit down.

Because you’re worthy and always have been.

No one said you need to have it all figured out

There’s no way to know exactly how you’re going to get from here to there with total certainty

No blue print is fool proof — nor is any blueprint out there perfectly fit for YOUR unique path

When we stop trying to control and predict everything, and lean into a PLAYFUL, EXPERIMENTAL mindset…

Possibilities open up.

God has space to reach down and rearrange and work magic.

And the whole process becomes lighter, abundant and limitless.

So find a reason to laugh today.

A reason to play and mess around and let go of control

The art of doing life FOR THE FUN OF IT ✨ is quite the hack. Because not only is it FUN of course…

But it becomes medicine for fear of failure, rejection and judgment from others.

The more fun you have, the more you increase risk tolerance and consistent action

Because putting yourself in a vulnerable position and showing up when things are hard is WAY more difficult when you’re not having fun

Playing big is 10x easier when you actually get PLAYFUL with the process

ambitious woman + hustle culture + the pressure to provide and survive = an entrepreneur who ends up getting in their own way by taking things WAY to seriously

Attaching too much meaning to every action is one sure fire way to get stuck

So instead of fixating on all the “what ifs” or reasons you should keep IDEATING instead of taking ACTION…

Start viewing everything you do as an experiment — when in doubt, just try it… Just for FUN.

And see what happens.

When I leaned into this mindset for social media, a post went viral within 2 weeks and brought me over 1500 new followers.

Because when I stopped taking myself so seriously and got curious and playful…

I stopped repeating patterns that clearly weren’t working and tried new approaches that quickly produced better results in my biz

In the words of Einstein, “Play is the highest form of research.”

This is why we are always playing and having FUN in @thefunsideclub 💛

Feminine energy in service based businesses > doing everything by the book

I spent a lot of time trying to fix myself become what I “needed to” in order to create success

I tried to be a morning person.

A spreadsheet person.

A follow-every-step-by-the-book because the experts know what they’re doing and I don’t, person.

And then I got so exhausted that I wanted to throw in the towel and give up.

So I started doing things MY way:

Working at night and sleeping in til 10

Delegating all things spreadsheet

Structuring everything about my routines, offers and strategies to ignite giddy excitement — and not settling for less.

And guess what?

Timelines have collapsed and The Fun Side is growing faster than I ever expected.

Leaning into your feminine quirks > Doing what people think you “should”

I started truly living my life when I stopped worrying so damn much about what other people thought of me.

I realized that no matter WHAT I did, someone was going to have an opinion about it.

Someone would disagree. Someone wouldn’t understand. Someone would think I was doing too much, or not enough.

And for so long, I let the possibility of someone else’s disapproval hold me back from actually LIVING.

But once I started letting that go?

I started going places I wanted to go, even if I didn’t know a single person there.

I started hosting events, even when I was terrified no one would show up.

I started raising my kid in ways that felt right for our family, even when other people had PLENTY to say about it. (Cough cough, extended breastfeeding, cough cough 😂)

And you know what?

People still have opinions. I’m sure they always will.

But I’ve realized I don’t have to make their opinions my problem.

Because at the end of the day, they’re not the ones who have to live my life. I am.

And I’d much rather look back on a life I actually LIVED than one I spent trying to make everyone else comfortable.

It’s the thing that gives life meaning

The thing that makes us feel at home

The thing that gives us the safety and security to explore beyond our comfort zones…

Connection.

But more than that — true belonging.

“In the absence of belonging, there is always suffering.” - Brené Brown

Belonging is when we feel accepted and loved just as we are, with no need to fit in or filter.

For some of us, this has always been hard to find. So we’ve masked our isolation with independence.

Entrepreneurs do this A LOT (be let’s be honest we’re weirdos)

But the problem with isolation and independence is that without true belonging, we can only survive. Not thrive.

The Fun Side community is intentionally curated for belonging because the women here are determined to THRIVE, and belonging is the prerequisite.

You get to be YOU as you continue evolving and elevating. Because you’re enough babe
