Thank you so much to @thefuturewayforward for having Companion-App at the conference in Nashville — we learned a lot and made some strong connections along the way.

Companion-App helps businesses, founders, transplants, and locals connect and build community wherever they are. Whether you’re new to a city or just looking to expand your circle, we make finding your people simple. Our app simplifies that process by showing you all of our curated events happening in that city and who’s going 👀.

Conferences like this remind us why community-building matters — real conversations, real relationships, and real opportunities to grow alongside people doing meaningful work.

Looking forward to next year’s conference. Follow us for more info on Companion-App — and we’ll see you at one of our upcoming events!

Hosting interviews at the Future Way Forward Conference was another reminder that there is POWER in getting in the room.

Sometimes the opportunity isn’t just on the stage—it’s in the conversation between sessions, the introduction you almost didn’t make, the person sitting next to you, or the connection that turns into something bigger months later.

Get in the rooms that stretch you. Get around people who are building. Ask questions. Make connections. And most importantly, make sure people remember you when you leave.

Because proximity can create opportunity—but you still have to do something with the access.

Grateful to play a part in capturing the voices, stories, and vision behind #FutureWayForward.

And we’re only getting started. See you in 2027. 💚

“Building A City Worth Belonging To” 🏙️

As we continue to see record-breaking economic development in our cities, I do my best to challenge myself with this question:

➡️“Are we simply building bigger cities, or are we also building better communities?” ⬅️

Because the reality is, growth and thriving are not necessarily the same thing. And I’ve learned that success is only worth it if we’re succeeding TOGETHER.

The invisible infrastructure of any community is its culture. And I believe we as leaders are responsible for stewarding how that culture frames the relationships, access, trust, and shared senses of possibility & responsibility that determine whether people can SEE THEMSELVES in the story being written and feel that they BELONG.

Thank you @thefuturewayforward and @drgeraldonuoha for trusting me to host this conversation alongside such an incredible group of leaders.

Grateful for everyone who shared their perspective, challenged the room, and continues doing the work of building a Nashville worth belonging to. 🤝🏾

The @thefuturewayforward was rich in insights on Nashville’s East Bank emergence and how Music, Arts, Sports and Entertainment will shape our shared experiences.

I enjoyed comparing thoughts with my panelist Taryn Anderson, Jennifer Turner, and our moderator @ericdholt

One common theme that resonated with me from our talk was the importance of accessibility for all Nashvillians across our Music, Sports*, Arts, and Entertainment ecosystems. My hope is that as our city grows and shines across this country and beyond; youth engagement, voice, and safety remain a high priority for all those in power and position.

Thank you to @thenmaam for a warm and convenient environment.

Cheers to the future!

Kudos to @drgeraldonuoha on carrying out a remarkable vision!

Lead BIG,
Dr. Aaron

What does a “great city” actually look like?

I got to talk about this at the Future Way Forward Conference here in Nashville.

We talked about growth, affordability, culture, community, and a big question: as Nashville keeps growing, how do we make sure the people who live here can actually grow with it?

I joined Frederick Cawthon, Yuri Cunza and Christina Langone for the conversation, moderated by Darius McDonald.

More conversations like this.

The Future Forward Conference at @thenmaam was insightful and refreshing. I happened to be having a coffee meeting about entrepreneurship with @thisisyonas when @im_loso walked by and extended an invite. Grateful to be in rooms with peers making major moves and hearing from some heavy hitters on leadership and the community.

Definitely check out their next conference and follow their page @thefuturewayforward for upcoming events. 👊🏾

I’m speaking at the Future Way Forward Conference today!

I’ll be joining a panel discussion on “Building a City Worth Belonging To” — talking about community, culture, economic growth, and what it looks like to build a city where people actually feel like they have a place in its future.

This is right at the intersection of so much of the work I care about, so I’m excited to add my perspective to the conversation.

Today | 2:45–3:45 PM
