Who wants to play princesses? 👸🏼

A little over one year ago I joined 9 of my internet friends at a castle in a small town in the Italian countryside called Mornese. We were there for @thetravelmentors 10 year vow renewal and celebrated in so many ways!

And found more than a few other things to celebrate and do 👀

What to say about 2025?

💚 This year tested us in ways we’ve never been tested.
🩶 We faced things we didn’t think we’d face at our age.
🩵 We grew in patience. In gentleness. In unconditional love.
❤️ Our marriage turned 10 and we celebrated a decade of growth together and recommitted our lives to one another.
💛 We took massive pay cuts in the pursuit of pursuing passions and building businesses we are extremely proud of.
🤍 We’re really proud of taking those risks.

🫶 We fell in love with our friendships.
☺️ This year took the people in our lives from “internet friends” via DMs to being the very first people we call when we need to celebrate or grieve.
🥹 This year proved that you’re never too old to make the dearest friends you’ll ever have.

❓We’re heading into 2026 with more questions than we’ve ever had.
❤️‍🩹 There are difficult medical situations we are processing.
🗺️ We have no idea where we will spend each month of the year.
🙏 But we are strong in our faith, in our community, and in our hope for how 2026 could unfold.

There’s magic waiting for all of us this year: in some amount, in some way, in some timeline🪄

Life can look extremely different in one year’s time, so if you need encouragement heading into the new year, this is it! 👇

Keep going.
Keep opening yourself up.
Keep asking for help.
Keep being brave.

Stay disciplined.

Would YOU play hide & seek in a dark castle from the 1300’s?! 👻

🏰 Patrick and I rented out a castle in Mornese, Italy for our 10 year wedding anniversary/vow renewal and invited all our friends…

but little did they know it was REALLY an invitation to play the world’s creepiest game of hide and seek (…well, technically sardines) 😏

We had SO much fun running around the dark castle looking for everyone but it was SPOOKY - especially every time we passed the suit of armor and thought it was a person 🗡️

I won’t lie… this pregnancy has been HARD.

Struggling with HG (AKA throwing up every day) while moving back to the US after living overseas for 3 years and everything that comes with that is just a lot.

But gosh if it doesn’t light me up seeing the absolute love and support we’ve had since the moment we started sharing! I wish I could have captured every single reaction!

It’s okay to not love pregnancy and to still love your little one. It’s okay to lean on your support system because I would not have survived this far without Brad and everyone else.

Since we started this journey in the Netherlands, stay tuned as I share my thoughts on Dutch OBs! 😅

Don’t worry, we were surprised too 🤴🏻

I’m not joking when I say none of us girls had any clue the guys were filming this. They were sneaking around the castle for two days stealing props, filming behind doors we were on the other side of, and trying to ask for details on our transitions without seeming suspicious.

The final result was revealed with a “hey, I made my own edit” from Ty after she was inevitably brought in on the shenanigans. The rest of us all fell over laughing and we hope this gives you as much of a laugh as it gave us. 🤣 and maybe a little inspiration for your next trip with friends!

We said goodbye to the castle today 😭

No vlog for day 7 because we spent the entire day shooting at the castle SOOOO day 8 was the day we said goodbye to the castle and half our crew and continued our journey 🇮🇹

We explored the adorable town of Ovada and were blown away by the beauty of the Piemonte region of Italy!

We were so sad to say goodbye to the castle and the lifelong memories we made there, but we are so excited to spend the next week exploring the gorgeous Italian Riviera so STAY TUNED SO YOU DON’T MISS A THING 😍

IT’S OUR 10 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY 🥹

I literally cannot imagine having spent this day in a more special way!

There were SO many highlights of the day but our vow renewal ceremony and cooking class with @riccardocookingclass were the best!!

@riccardocookingclass is our FAVORITE chef in Rome (if you’re visiting Rome you MUST take a class with him) and it was so so sweet having him and his co chef William drive 7 hours from Rome to make our anniversary SO PERFECT!

We have SOOO much more to share about this whole experience, but for now we’re soaking it all in 🫶🏰🇮🇹

Hide and seek in a castle in Italy should DEFINITELY be on your bucketlist 😂🏰💀

Today was an EPIC day exploring this incredible castle that began being built in the 1200’s 😱

We’ll do a full tour later but for those of you asking HOW the heck this happened, we booked in on @airbnb Castles section 😂🤯

And we were STOKED that the final members of our crew arrived! @hannaescapes was a champ for immediatey saying yes to 2 hours of hide and seek in the dark 😂
