A proud moment for Castle Freke Gin.

Last Friday, our founder, Stephen Evans-Freke, was inducted into @theginguild at a prestigious ceremony in London.

As Castle Freke Gin continues to grow internationally, this marks an important milestone in strengthening our connections within the global gin industry.

We’re delighted to share that our founder Karl is officially part of The Gin Guild @theginguild , an international organization dedicated to promoting excellence in gin distillation, production, and education.

Founded in London in 2012, The Gin Guild brings together gin professionals and enthusiasts from around the world who share a passion for the spirit and its craftsmanship.

With over 1,000 gins in our collection, the largest in North America and second largest in the world, gin has always been at the heart of The Ivory Peacock. Becoming part of this global community is another meaningful step in our journey.

A special thank you to The Gin Guild for the warm welcome. We look forward to sharing our passion for gin and continuing to learn, explore, and connect with fellow gin lovers around the world.

🥂 Some exciting news from The Coastal Distilling Co!

Last night, our founder Laurance Traverso was honoured to be inducted into @theginguild ,part of the Worshipful Company of Distillers.

It’s a proud moment for our little distillery here in Torquay and recognition of the hard work, passion and dedication that goes into building an independent spirits business.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve grown from 6 products to 17, continued to develop exciting new spirits and taken some big steps forward with national distribution and export opportunities.

We’re passionate about creating great drinks, pushing boundaries and showing what an independent distillery from the South West can achieve.

Joining the Guild opens the door to new connections, shared knowledge and opportunities to keep learning and growing alongside others in our industry.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Whether you stock our bottles, enjoy our drinks, visit us or simply spread the word, you’re part of our story so Thank you .

Cette année, mon gros coup de cœur à la Foire du Valais, c’est sans hésiter l’exposition « Bollywood, l’Inde fait son cinéma » ! @foireduvalais

Et franchement, c’est un véritable voyage : les costumes, les décors, les musiques, les danses… pendant quelques instants, on a vraiment l’impression de quitter Martigny pour se retrouver en Inde !

Mais la Foire du Valais, c’est aussi les rencontres : des exposants passionnés, des artisans, des producteurs et bien sûr tous ces bons produits du terroir à découvrir et à déguster. C’est ça que j’aime particulièrement : pouvoir échanger, découvrir et repartir avec plein de nouvelles choses.

Et puis, autre coup de cœur : Mr Stanley, cet incroyable bus bleu londonien de 1961, transformé en bar mobile, avec même un toit qui s’ouvre pour devenir une terrasse. 🚌

Bref, entre Bollywood, les rencontres, le terroir et toutes ces découvertes, la Foire du Valais, c’est vraiment une expérience à vivre !

Alors si vous n’y êtes pas encore allés, n’attendez plus : la Foire est à Martigny jusqu’au 11 octobre ! Allez-y, c’est maintenant !

International recognition for our remote solar powered distillery on Great Barrier Island, New Zealand, and history in the making, literally!

Madame Distiller Ltd, aka Andi Ross, the maker of Island Gin, has been shortlisted for the IWSC International Gin Producer Trophy in London.

The first New Zealand gin producer ever shortlisted.

This is not an award for one gin. It is recognition of our whole range, our sustainable distillery, and everything we have built here on the island. As the IWSC puts it, these trophies “go beyond the performance of an individual spirit” and recognise strength across an entire portfolio.

Island Gin Original and Island Gin Navy Strength both won Gold. Orange and Mānuka Bush Honey Gin also received a medal.

We are beyond proud. Fingers crossed for November 24.
