My brain doesn't always believe this, understand this, or know what to do with this. But my heart, my heart knows it to be true.

Because the Bible tells me so.
When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He spoke of God’s will being done "on earth as it is in heaven”.

When we accept the gospel as truth and join God in the journey of life, things change. We recognize that our once uncontrollable desires often lead us to destruction and despair and to choose a new way, we need a new spirit. God’s Spirit at work in us. And as we place our hearts and lives in His capable hands, all of the humble things of this earth get touched by the holy. The Ugly House becomes the dream.

This is what God does. He turns the rubble into the building blocks for His kingdom and leaves nothing, no part of our stories and sufferings, to waste.

On earth as it is in Heaven.

“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:9-10)

▶️ WHAT IF I GET IT ALL WRONG? ◀️

For many years I beat myself up for never being a “good enough” Christian. It’s easier to play church or leave church then really dig into the messiness of living BOTH as human AND holy.

I hate it.

Because even if I can give myself grace for the mess ups, what about everyone else? Will I just be another hypocrite that people use to excuse why they could never believe in God?

If you haven’t taken a moment to read what my new book is about, this is it. It’s an honest exploration of my own ugliness (both things I endured and things I created), and God’s response to me. Which I thought would include a lot more judgement and yelling. Turns out I was wrong about that, too.

May my vulnerability be the call that finally reaches your heart to find your own strength in the Lord to continue the journey. Or to start anew. Maybe both. ♥️♥️♥️

I wish I could say that Lyric and I started into this program knowing what would happen but we didn't. What started out as a remedy for her heart after being bullied grew into a movement that has gone beyond our wildest dreams. .
.
As I wrote a curriculum for girls programs.. I had my right hand with me along the way. She insisted that she help me "stay relevant" 😩. And I honestly didn't mind at all. She was so right. I need her right there next to me. Because she is not only free within but I learn so much from her at only 8 years old. .
You see, Going back to schools was something I didn't see myself doing again. But God said.. "yes.. go back.. but this time it's different."

.
This time I get to take love on the road with @glamcampforgirls. This is about freedom. This is about ministry. This is about leaving a legacy. A Legacy not just for my little girls but for the friends they will make along the way.
Now, I've got my not so little baby in tow with me co-teaching and co-planning with me! .
When we dance, we dance like it's our last chance! And we encourage the girls to do the same! Life is good... really really good when you get to Do what you love and serve your brains out.
The rewards are endless!

You can call the girl out of teen ministry, but you can't call the teen out of the girl... or something like that. Because when girls get together, and I mean really get together, dreams become realities and God makes the impossible - possible. So here's to a room full of fresh starts, new creations, big dreams, and new friends. Conference is only the beginning of a beautiful story ❤️❤️❤️ #WhyNot2016 #LiveHeadOverHeels

My heart is full. Just when I think I've come to impart something into these young ladies, God quickly reminds me that He has just as much to impart into me through them. This generation is powerful beyond words! .
.
Ministry,especially girls ministry, is truly at the core of who I am. Whether in schools or in church, it's my calling. It's my life's work. And today's conference deepened that conviction even more!

.
@nessshep is a Pillar and a woman of God I deeply love and respect. She's got the goods, the fruit, the integrity, and the endurance to lead so many on their journey and it's an honor to labor alongside her. I am so thankful that I get to spend every single day of my life doing what I love to do most.. Partnering with God to see His Kingdom come on this Earth! .

Today, We are lifting up those who lost their loved ones and family in the Brussels bombings.
We pray for peace and comfort in our world and that God would heal the hearts of everyone affected by these events.
Father, you said if Your people who are called by Yoir name would humble themselves and pray, that you would heal the land. So we pray and we trust you to do what only you can do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
