Today I ran my first marathon! 🥳 Training for 26.2 proved to me that I don’t quit when things get tough. I learned that the miles go by faster when you’re kind to yourself, and even faster when you cheer on everyone around you. One year ago, I ran my very first 5K and became completely obsessed. Since then, it’s been 3 half marathons, 2 ultra marathon relays, countess short races, and joining two amazing run clubs. Today also marks five years since losing my mom, making today’s finish line mean so much more. I ran with her in my heart, while raising almost $2,000 for Cystic Fibrosis, a cause so close to our family since my nephew Cole was diagnosed at just 8 days old. 💜 Running might seem like a solo sport, but my incredible running family proved it isn’t. I am so beyond grateful for the friendships and community that made every single mile of this journey fun. Thank you all so much! @thegoodworkgang @runwiththewinners

Insomnia sucks, but sometimes it has its perks when it comes to long runs 😂😂😂 Prime example today: a quick 4-hour solo run, followed by 80 minutes with GWG, and then a cool-down because why not?! 🏃‍♂️🔥🤣 200 miles for the FOURTH month in a row and already over 1,600 miles for the year! 💪🏃‍♂️🔥 The miles just keep adding up! 🙌#run #blessed #thankful #runner #runningcommunity

When the race photographer photographs you mid limp you smile because it’s a blessing your legs have carried you and your body can still move. You smile because running brings you peace and happiness. You smile because you’re about to PR. You smile because this is a once in a lifetime moment. You smile because you just proved to yourself you’re stronger than you thought. You smile because you’re capable of doing hard things! I never thought in a million years that I would PR coming back from a pelvis fracture and running while being out of alignment for the first 5k of the race, but it happened! I’m so blessed to have such an amazing support system. Not only am I supported in my fitness journey, but they also support me in my daily life too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

A beautiful weekend in the CHI! Chicago Marathon Weekend delivered in every way. Experiencing this race as a first-time spectator was something special, and I couldn’t be prouder of my friends who showed up and put in amazing work, whether they were taking on the course or bringing the energy out on the sidelines. The miles may look different, but the work and the support mean just as much. Beyond taking in the marathon, I finally conquered a goal I’ve been chasing for a while: a sub-20-minute 5K! To hit that milestone at this point in my running journey was an incredible feeling. What made it even better was crossing the finish line knowing I still had more in the tank. A breakthrough, a confidence boost, and another reminder of what’s possible with the work ahead. A special shoutout to my family at @thegoodworkgang and everyone who continues to support what we’re building. This journey is bigger than the miles, and I’m grateful to share it with you all. 🫶🏽 Next up: peak weeks of marathon training before taking on Philly.
