Monsterpalooza day 2 in the bag! Had so much fun parading around in costume with @valirademon - seeing friends and coworkers - experiencing the amazing artistry of more friends - and getting lots of photo ops. It was a blast. I’m a tired happy bird haha. #brandibeast #monsterpalooza #friends #work #fun #thankful #art #artist #maskmaker #costume #photo #happy #beast #monster #creature #bird #demon #oc #original #custom #2023

recently read Salem’s Lot. totally holds up and easily one of my favorite stephen king books. after reading, i took a tour through the various adaptations. none do it justice, though tobe hooper’s comes closest as it has some genuine scares. larry cohen’s non canon sequel is kooky af and has its own charm. this TNT miniseries should’ve been better. a few great actors, a little more faithful to the novel but wow, its a mess. somehow the fx are better in the 70’s version. i eagerly await the upcoming movie adaptation but not expecting a better interpretation until frank darabont does a 4-6 ep miniseries. also kurt barlow can really spin a head.

sometimes we go to those ridiculously expensive restaurants and you end up with something revolting in front of you but that thing is $100 and you want to get your money’s worth so you force that stuff down

WEREWOLF BY NIGHT (2022)

Director Michael Giacchino (@m_giacchino) posted this cool video of the trophy room set featuring a number of monster heads that I got to help mold and cast over at KNB (@theofficialknbefxgroup). Under the watchful eyes of Howard Berger (@hoops511), Dirk Rogers (@thehalloweendirk), Mike Ross, Steve Frakes and Richard Arguijo (@duplik8er_18).

Much of the artistic work (to my knowledge) was the work of John Wheaton, Andrew Herrera (@andrewherrera3d), Steve Prouty (@proutyfx @fusionfxshop), Jaremy Aiello (@jaremy_aiello), Mikey Rotella (@mikeyrots), Patrick Matthews (@patrick_y_mathews), Tim Martin, Erick De La Vega (@erickdelavega) and Alex Diaz (@alexdiaz4121).

Was a fun monster filled romp with a hell of a team.
