What if healing begins the moment you let yourself breathe? 🌿

Sometimes the hardest part is giving ourselves permission to pause.

The Day I Became The Best Football Player and Won The Thorpe Award

I have to be honest, that was never my goal to begin with.

I was part of a culture in the East Meadow Football program that instilled excellence.

My focus was not winning awards.

I was addicted to the discipline of being an athlete. The workouts. And the pursuit of a goal with your teammates.

To me, that was pure gold. Everything else was just a bonus.

Focus on who you become along the way as you chase the greatness within. I really believe that.

And to the late Matt DeLuca we love and miss you.

📈There are levels to the game.

Being strong today doesn’t guarantee success tomorrow. That’s why it is important to focus.

When your head gets too big, you put yourself in the perfect position to be knocked down.

Stay humble. Work hard.

And as you rise, lift the people around you.

That’s how everybody grows together.

3 Things Nobody Talks About for Student-Athlete Success

1️⃣ Injuries: If there’s a nail in the tire, you deal with it right away, right? The same applies to your body and any injuries. But the truth is, many don’t do this. If you don’t take care of it now, it’ll become a bigger issue down the road.

2️⃣ Peers: When it’s all said and done, the core memories with our teammates last a lifetime. Never prioritize individual success over the team. If you see someone having a bad day, encourage them. Take care of each other. That effort will make real bond with your friends.

3️⃣ The Long Game: Take time to think about where you want to be next year... two years … even five years down the road. Even if you don’t have a clear picture, it’s good practice to just write something down. Without giving yourself some direction, you may just be wandering. As you take action, you’ll gain more clarity.

❓I’m curious — What is on your list for a successful Student-Athlete?

Personal Story — When I walked into summer weight room as a 9th grader, I didn’t have a warm welcome.

I was met by an upperclassman who made it clear I did not belong there.

It was uncomfortable.

But instead of retreating, I chose to go to work.

With a deck of cards, I did push-ups & sit-ups. Every single day.

I started the summer benching 185lb × 1, and by the end, I hit 185lb × 13 — just from that simple routine.

It was more than most seniors at that time.

Needless to say, I earned my respect in that moment.

So, if you’re not getting the warmest welcome, I get it. And it’s okay.

Take it as fuel to get stronger and keep moving forward.

Doing 1-set is better than no set.

After 1 week, you would have completed 7 sets. After 1 month, you would have completed 28 sets. That is 28 sets more than nothing.

Everyone starts somewhere. And the best place to start is always right now.

I had a meeting with @zendaya for holistic coaching over a year ago in Los Angeles.

When I got to her house, it was kind of a private spot. And she actually greeted me at the door herself.

At that time, I didn’t know too much about Zendaya. So when I met her, it just felt comfortable. She wasn’t wearing any makeup — just casual, in a t-shirt and pants.

She was genuinely excited to learn about holistic coaching, mindset training, and all the different modalities connected to the body.

She was also filming @euphoria then, which I had never heard of before.
I try not to study too much about my clients. Even though I knew she was popular, I just wanted to see her as a person.

She was a really interesting. As a holistic coach who’s guided a lot of people, I have to say — she’s is tuned into her intuition. Creative, unique, spiritual, smart, and kind. That’s how I’d describe her.

Each session started with some principle time — ways she could approach her awareness, tune into her chakras, and find the answers and inspiration already within her.

At the time, she wasn’t just acting; she was also producing and helping write the story for Euphoria. The sessions helped her tap into that, which made me really happy.

When we did hands-on work and Reiki, I was blown away. She’s got long legs — it felt like a journey from her hips down to her feet, haha. Honestly, she’s probably the tallest woman I’ve ever met.

Then she introduced me to her mom and grandma — and they were just as tall, maybe taller.
I was surrounded by these tall, beautiful ladies, and I just laughed — I felt like a dwarf.

What really surprised me was that she had just turned 27. I couldn’t believe it. She’s young, but her awareness, her understanding, and her drive to create her own life were so strong.

She inspired me.

I’m happy to share this story with everyone who loves Zendaya — and I know there are millions.

She’s a special person.
