@scenenoise: For Aegis Festival’s special homegrown edition this year, SceneNoise hosted a takeover of the festival’s newest stage, The Party Bus, for the second day of the festival, providing a platform that showcases the diverse range of alternative sounds of the region’s electronic music scene, with a thoughtfully curated lineup that gave equal spotlight to established and emerging talents like Jool, Viv, Horrible, Nour Fahmy and CÉL. We danced, sweated and by the end of the night considered to maybe, just maybe, taking the bus all the way home. Beep Beep!

@SceneNoise : Set deep within the forested hills of Arnaoon Village, Lebanon’s Aegis Festival has grown into one of the region’s most distinctive electronic gatherings. Since its debut, the festival has carved out a space that feels worlds away from the usual festival circuit, pairing international headliners and regional selectors with open-air stages, art installations, wellness activities, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

For its 2026 edition, running under the theme ‘Of This Land’, from July 10th to July 12th, Aegis is leaning even further into community, creativity, and a sense of belonging. We asked a selection of MENA DJs what they believe makes Aegis special, and why the festival continues to stand out on the regional map.Set deep within the forested hills of Arnaoon Village, Lebanon’s Aegis Festival has grown into one of the region’s most distinctive electronic gatherings. @SceneNoise #NoiseFeatures: This weekend, from July 10th to July 12th, Lebanon’s Aegis Festival returns to the idyllic Arnaoon Village for its 2026 edition, Of This Land. Widely regarded as one of the region’s most anticipated electronic music festivals, this year’s edition shifts its focus toward artists connected to the land they call home, whether by birth or by choice.

Across its first two days, the festival will host a sprawling lineup of electronic music tastemakers across four open-air stages: the Main Stage, the Cliffside Stage, the Futomama Stage, and the Party Bus. This year also introduces the Live Bands Stage, a new addition on the festival’s second day dedicated to indie live acts. Closing out the weekend, Aegis heads to SOULT Beach in Batroun for a special finale takeover.

Beyond its 72-hour music programme, the festival will feature a range of wellness experiences, art installations, pop-ups, its signature marketplace, and an adventure park.

Ahead of the festival, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know, from stage takeovers and standout performances to the activities happening across the weekend all over the festival’s grounds.

Not every festival needs to look louder to feel louder.

For @shamsfest we built a visual system inspired by the desert itself. Warm textures, oversized typography, a bold monochromatic palette, and a cast of sun people that feel as alive as the music they’ll dance to.

An identity designed to move before the crowd ever does.

[bythepeople] | ©2026 PPI™ all rights reserved

Meet the People of SHAMS.

A family of hand-crafted sun characters designed to embody movement, rhythm, and community. Each one was drawn with its own personality before being animated into a living part of the festival experience.

Because memorable identities deserve memorable characters.

The desert became the design system.

Sand textures.
Sun-washed tones.
Bold typography.
Characters born from the same landscape.

Everything was designed to make SHAMS feel recognizable before the first beat drops.

At the center is the SHAMS Sunman. A character hand-drawn from scratch to become the festival’s unmistakable icon. Around it, the Sun People were individually animated to bring the identity to life across every touchpoint, proving that branding doesn’t stop at static visuals.

The SHAMS Sunman was hand-drawn to become a symbol people can instantly recognize, while the animated Sun People transformed the identity into something that moves, dances, and interacts with the audience
