Nacelle have spent a good ten years ensuring Wally or I never touch a pair of decks at any of their parties. However little did they know I was willing to play a very long and convoluted game. Build up a social media agency, gain trust working with them over several Sandbox Festival editions, grow a music platform that covers such events, partner up with the festival and get our own stage, so that eventually after a decade we would play at the festival.

Even after suggesting we should be on the line up of our own activation they said it would be ‘best not to announce it’ hoping we may be discouraged, citing that our artist rider wouldn’t fit in the @scenenoise #SelectBox anyways. So we snuck in a ‘special guest’ slot which was begrudgingly accepted - and finally the moment happened that absolutely no one was waiting for. Wally and I got to play Sandbox and it was fucking great. Horrible DJs are now relieving themselves of all corporate responsibility to pursue a full time career as Tolerable DJs

Happy 10th birthday to this awesome event. Thank you for the memories @sandboxfestival. by @thehorribledjs

@scenenoise #NoiseSets: Horrible take Select 386 to a lush garden with their signature flair for mischief behind the decks. The British-born Egyptian duo guide listeners through a loose, sun-soaked blend of off-kilter house and ambient grooves, with sly selections from the likes of Fred Everything and Coeo.

@SceneNoise #NoiseSets: This week on SceneNoise’s Select series, we feature a set from the British-born Egyptian duo, Horrible. Known for a high-energy presence and a style that sits comfortably between house and techno, the pair have brought a consistent groove and a sharp ear for selection to every performance.

Their Select set is a loose warm drift through some of their favorite recent house and ambient grooves, featuring eclectic tracks like Den Haas’ ‘Whatever It Is’, Fred Everything - ‘Here (Now)’, and Coeo’s ‘I Can Never Be Yours’. To put simply, it’s a morning set you put on when the calendar is empty, the light is coming in, and you’ve poured a drink and the crew is on the way.

DJing to a room full of people is the most fun you can have without pretending to DJ to a room full of people (swipe to end for acoustic rendition). Opening @sandboxfestival Secret Stage was epic. Big thanks to the whole @nacelle_ team 🫶🏼🕺🏽 taken in El Gouna, Red Sea by @thehorribledjs
