POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hello Adam, your came to mind today 👋.

When I visited Dorna Centre Home for Autism in Ntinda. I met a gentleman called Kaggwa Adam. He's story is a different one. Adam emanates from gayaza and he's blessed to have a strong woman in his life who he happens to call mother.

Adam was a very lively individual on the day of my visit and I got to know that it's his nature. Aged 24 he lost his dad. My first question was. How do you have so much energy? "That's how pastors should be" he replied. Then I got to know of the power of choice. He saw the world from a different set of lens. He knows he's Autistic but that's too less of a worry. Adam chooses his dream and not what he experiences.

I asked of his strengths and I was told he's able to perform all daily living activities. In the few hours I was at the centre, I got to learn that Adam is a natural born leader who steps when time calls for it. The kids are taught prepare vegetables and he leads his peers through the process.
Adam social character made it fun and worthwhile. He hyped everyone and supported others on the journey of learning the game of chess. He participated in every activity and made it so fun.

As music ignites your soul, may you never seize to share the beautiful heart and great person you're with the world. This world aligns to meet your dreams of becoming a pastor.
Thank you for the prayer sir 🙏🏿. My hope and prayer is that you experience the goodness of God in the land of the living.
May circumstances never define your reach and worth. May it be known that the frail body called Adam housed the greatest spirit to grace the earth with it's existence.

Keep going Adam. I am rooting for you 🙏🏿.

‼️ These attacks undermine health care providers’ ability to effectively meet patient needs, maintain safe staffing levels and impact the population’s access to health care.

‼️ In the early months following the coup, attacks on health care were characterised by health workers being arrested on allegations of Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) affiliation or because of the care they provided to injured CDM members.

‼️ Since then, at least 897 health workers have been arrested in 302 incidents. Health facilities were frequently raided by the military searching for pro-democracy health workers or injured protesters, and patients were routinely searched and risked being arrested or forcibly discharged.

When Greatness chooses you. Jacqueline Asiimwe

When you come from a place where trenches are garbage sites, hunger a daily blanket and lack of access a lived experience to a level that it's normal. One where the best one can aspire is to have a meal and the best one has for a role model is mostly a gentleman or lady that has something as simple as television then you know that your battle is different.

Today greatness searched and chose the little souls that find the tiny spot cut off from access to the basic stuff of life in the vast capital of Uganda Kampala with the best life has to offer.
The type and weight of questions determine the quality of life. Today was the start of a journey towards a road less traveled more less known in the community of Katwe Kinyoro.

The ear, heart, hand of a mother and the tongue of an experienced leader paved way for a great introductory session. @asiimwe4justice pollinated as she created an environment for the these souls to feel calm. The class was one where the kids let their guards down as they were in a room with one they felt safe with and at the same time one they'd aspire to become. As they say when music plays one forgets all the sorrows, I guess if @asiimwe4justice was to ever choose another career it'd definitely be a DJ,dancer and a teacher. With books and pencils space and kids she met today, she created a family with a bond strong enough to last as a memory. With a drawing an arm, she created a question for each finger! The questions were reflective and deep.
What's your name?
What's your favorite food?
What's your favorite color?
What's your favorite subject?
Who's your best friend?

For one who woke with experiences determined by what the world offered the previous day and find a couple of people that breath life in your spirit is an experience one would love to have as a daily reality. Today the message was clear, your dreams are Valid and welcome to the family. Hello champs @asiimwe4justice & Buddies are bridge builders and today materials we set up the start of a journey towards building the strongest bridge between a world where opportunities are available and one the world chose for you.

‼️📢 Health Care is Under Attack in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories ‼️

📢 We are aware of other sources reporting higher health worker killings. 119 is based on the number of health workers killed where location and date has been identified as we do not report aggregate numbers but compile our numbers based on individually reported cases.

📢 We continue to work on collating a complete list from information that has been provided in different formats such as names or professions of health workers who were killed. This cross-checking process is complex to avoid double counting the same individuals based on the fact that different victim information was provided by different information providers.

‼️ The total number of health workers killed is believed to be higher than the current verified number.

Benjamin, the gentleman in the black sweater with red and white stripes. My first encounter with Benjamin was in March 2023 when we had the Pawns to Kings project at Kisenyi Bus terminal a renowned place for street kids. As he is to date a very quiet fellow before he's comfortable with you, he came for sessions and never said a word. He always preferred to be the behind the scene guy. He was and still is a very intelligent man who the world handled different cards. He always updated me about what was on the news, the global events and his take on them. The whole month, he took it upon himself to go to the internet cafe and make research. From finding the streets of kampala home to being in the same space with @TonyNatif , Kisakye Martha, @ashra_mafabi @iamainembabazi @Tunde_OD @Comrade_Otoa . @Namanya_bryan @boris_nahabwe Greatness drove, flew, crossed seas to come be with a budding potential on the Streets of kisenyi. The universe does become your library when your open to it.

An intelligent boy with a potential beyond his current circumstances and a kindness big enough to flood the earth. With all the good about him the shuffle wasn't on his side. We kept on learning. One the world defined as an outlaw and outcast, challenged me. The sessions began at 3pm and he bought a new watch so as to keep time. He's a very structured gentleman, he knew when to wake up, go pick bottles sell to earn a living and still make it for lessons. Benjamin taught me a great lesson, Be clear on what you want, pray and take steps towards it and God shall do the rest. Benjamin deeply wanted to go to school. No matter the challenges he always said he owed it to his family to become a lawyer so he solves the family issues. Benjamin has drive. His drive manifested in the small details and it set him apart from his fellows. Indeed Pawns do become Kings and dreams do take flight.

Education was Benjamin's favourite word and it indeed manifested. Benjamin is at school now in Senior two. I remember the sleepless nights, long journeys in such for schools. The disrespect from gate men and denial to access school premises as he went to consult what it required to join. Benjamin I hope you rem

📢 NEW REPORT: Attacks on Food Security in #Gaza

🚨From 24-30 November, a #humanitarian pause in fighting allowed for limited food aid to enter into Gaza in an attempt to meet the rising civilian demand for basic resources. The brief ceasefire saw increased aid flow, however, it was still insufficient to meet the overwhelming need throughout the region.
