✨Meet Nicole Groman, RD!

What if the goal wasn’t to control your food choices… but to rebuild trust with your body?

Nicole helps clients challenge diet culture, let go of food rules, and create a more peaceful relationship with eating. Her work is rooted in the belief that our bodies have valuable wisdom — and that healing often starts with learning to listen again 🥰

Nicole provides individualized nutrition counseling, group programming, self-guided resources, and speaking engagements for clients looking to move beyond guilt and restriction and toward greater food freedom and body acceptance.

Beyond her clinical work, Nicole has created a line of merch that brings her message into everyday life — a reminder that rejecting diet culture and honoring your body is something worth celebrating (and wearing 😉).

As a clinician, having mental-health savvy nutrition colleagues who share your values can make all the difference when supporting clients with complex relationships with food and their bodies.

Blessed. Thats the only word I can describe this current chapter of my life. Time & time again, I’m reminded that I have the most supportive family & friends who pour life into whatever shenanigans I throw myself into. As much as it pains me to leave my tribe behind, I know their overwhelming love will continue to push me in the right direction: across the freaking Atlantic Ocean to Paris! Miles can never compete with the bond that I share with you all. Thank you so much for loving me & please know how deeply I love y’all right back 💜✨

Un petit rappel 🇫🇷: C’est pas un « au revoir », c’est juste un « a bientôt »
(A little reminder: It’s not a “goodbye”, it’s just a “see you later”)

Wednesday night was so powerful, and I’m still feeling it.

Co-hosting The Self-Trust Happy Hour with @thehungryclementine and @jcline.motion at @holme.wellness , and guiding our absolutely lovely attendees through therapeutic, nutrition, and somatic exercises, was truly a pleasure.

I left feeling so energized, so excited for the people who attended and the shifts they felt by the end, and so inspired for future workshops. 🌱

And honestly, I also left feeling proud of myself for doing it.

I got to meet a version of me I hadn’t met just yet: the version who believed she could host a workshop, the version who was so willing to do it scared but ended up doing it feeling calm and totally herself, the version who trusted herself enough to figure things out along the way without expecting it to be perfect.

As a therapist, I feel confident in what I do, who I am, and what I have to offer. But as a workshop host, that confidence wasn’t there yet. But I trusted that one day it would be. And this week, I got the chance to feel it.

And I know I’ll feel doubt and nerves in the future (and part of me is glad that I will - because that’s what comes with growth). But I also know that I’ve proven to myself I can do it - and that I can handle the discomfort when it comes.

Which is exactly what I walked the group through on Wednesday: Trusting themselves to handle difficult emotions and the challenges that bring them.

And if you’re ready to meet those new versions of yourself too, reach out to set up a free consult call so we can talk about working together. 💚

The beauty of the Mini 10K has never just been the race. Since 1972, it’s been about women showing up for themselves and each other 💗 Nothing mini about that!

My favorite part today was the hugs before and after, meeting up with kick ass athletes I coach, my close friends I run with, and my sizzling Skittles NYRR group I coach, lighting up Central Park in all bright fits 🌈 🍭

My race? A little all over the place. Mile 0-1.5 with Juliana was awesome but a wee bit too hot for her (whoops, sorry girl!) and then I remembered at 2.5 that the sunny heat and I are not exactly best friends and changed my strategy to positive splits for positive people. But racing isn’t always about perfect splits. Sometimes it’s about adjusting, doing the best you can with the day you’re given, and finding joy in the effort anyway. Garmin labeled it V.02 max, so I guess I got the benefit of a speed sesh after all. Comical 🫠

Grateful for the miles, the women, the flowers, the photos, and the reminder that this community is always bigger than any finish time.

Look, there’s nothing wrong with happy hour.

But when the problem is that you’re disconnected from yourself and your body all day every day? Happy hour’s not gonna cut it.

That’s where The Self-Trust Happy Hour comes in.

On June 10th in NYC, we’re bringing you a 2-hour, in-person workshop hosted by a licensed therapist (me!), a registered dietitian, and a somatic practitioner. We’ll teach you to listen to the signals your body’s been shouting at you. You know, the ones you’ve trained yourself to ignore or push away until it’s “convenient.” Spoiler: it’s never actually convenient. (And deep down, you already know that.)

Our workshop will help things click for you in a way they haven’t before. You’ll leave with more motivation to start showing up for yourself the way you show up for everyone else. And for the first time in a long time, it won’t feel selfish. It’ll feel necessary.

This workshop’s gonna shift something.

So, are you ready to meet yourself again?

The Self-Trust Happy Hour

June 10th | Midtown NYC | 6:30-8:30pm

$100 | Spots are limited

Imagine going from second-guessing yourself all day to trusting your gut and acting on it. Speaking your mind in the moment instead of replaying what you wish you'd said hours later. Making decisions from a place of confidence instead of looking to everyone else for the answer.

This workshop’s gonna shift something.

This post is five days late, but who’s counting?!!
My sweet Nicole @thehungryclementine Happy, Happy Birthday!🩷 It’s a day to celebrate you, my darling, adventurous, sweet, sensitive, bright girl! I love and admire your determination and spontaneity. Flying to Paris to run the Paris half marathon, living there for a month on two separate occasions, taking French lessons to improve your already strong knowledge of the language (I see a theme here!!) plus so much more. I’m so very grateful that as each year passes, our relationship never changes, we can still have fun and giggle even when we’re just hanging out and doing nothing☺️ I’m so proud of the woman you are, you’re so passionate and driven in your beliefs and your work, just to name a few and I admire that so much. Sweetheart, I wish you a glorious day and a year and lifetime of happiness, health, laughter, joy, yummy foods and desserts, travels and so much more😌 I am so lucky and blessed to have you in my life. I love you to the 🌙 and back and bunches and beyond 🩷😘🥰🍾🎉🎂🎈🥳🎊🥐💞💚🩷💚💫🍷🍸😘🥰🩷❌⭕️❌⭕️

The beautiful birthday girl, @thehungryclementine 💕

To think of our “story”… and when people ask how we met, we giggle at the anticipation of telling it 🤭🙃 Well, here it is! We met at a birthday party TEN years ago and BEYOND hit it off. Then sort of lost touch for a bit, but started getting together for seasonal catchup dates in 2021. With so much to connect on and share, these dates lasted 6-8 hours! Which in time…turned into a best friendship 🥰🥹

You are such an incredible woman. Smart, passionate, vibrant, courageous — and you inspire so many with your authenticity, relatability, and knowledge in the work that you do. Personally, I have become more secure in myself with you in my life. Cheers, my love. I can’t wait to see what’s next xx 🎈🎂🥂

When people learn I’m a dietitian, the conversation goes straight to diets and weight.

Keto. Fasting. GLP-1s. “How do I lose 10 pounds?”

But health is bigger than a number and more durable than a 3-month diet.

I sat down with Nicole Groman aka @thehungryclementine to talk intuitive eating, weight neutrality, stigma, GLP-1s and more.
