SEXUAL PLEASURE IS A RIGHT, NOT A LUXURY.

Why do our sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) programmes focus so much on risks, diseases and unwanted pregnancies while overlooking sexual pleasure?

Sexual health is not just about preventing harm; it is also about promoting well-being, dignity, consent and bodily autonomy.

It is time for policymakers, donors, health professionals and civil society to integrate sexual pleasure into SRHR policies and programmes, challenge stigma and build inclusive, rights-based approaches.

Let’s stop treating sexuality only as a risk to manage and start recognising it as an essential part of human well-being.

Did you know? 🤔

Believing myths about contraception can lead to missed choices: Studies have shown that women who believe common contraceptive myths are much less likely to use modern contraception – by as much as 30–80%.

📱 In a world full of social media content, opinions, experiences, and trends, it can be difficult to know what is true and what is not.

💡 But what is trending may not necessarily be true. And what does not work for some may work well for you.

That is why reliable information—facts rather than myths—is so important; knowledge empowers you to take action yourself. By taking the time to seek out facts and understand your options, you can make informed decisions that suit your body, your needs, and your future.

🌍 World Contraception Day debunks myths, clears up misconceptions, and answers common questions to help everyone make choices based on facts, not fear.

This year’s theme reminds us: ✨ No barriers, just choices: Contraceptive Access Now!
Together, as one, let’s celebrate informed choices, better access, and a future where everyone can decide freely about their reproductive health.

💛 Happy World Contraception Day 2026! And follow the links in our bio to check out our mission.

Things We Learned from previous @theicfp 🌍✨

One of the greatest gifts of the International Conference on Family Planning wasn’t just the sessions. it was the people.

These incredible leaders come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, yet we are united by one purpose: creating healthier, more equitable communities. Each of them is driving change in their own country through courage, innovation, advocacy, and service.

Leadership is not about titles. It’s about showing up, listening, inspiring others, and turning challenges into opportunities for impact.

Meeting these changemakers reminded me that lasting change happens when passionate people connect, learn from one another, and work together across borders.

Here’s to the leaders who continue to inspire action and prove that one committed person can make a difference.

Feminist creators: educating, advocating and praying the algorithm lets the truth survive. 🤲🏼

In 2026 alone, 500+ cases of account suspension, content removal and shadow-banning have been documented, including 120+ LGBTQI+ and feminist accounts during Türkiye’s Pride crackdown.

Youth Representative at the International Conference on Family Planning 2025 @theicfp

Still feels surreal looking back at this moment exactly one year ago. I honestly never imagined I’d have the chance to bring the voice of Indonesian youth to an international stage.

On November 5, 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Indonesian delegation at the International Conference on Family Planning in Bogota, Colombia. Representing Aliansi Remaja Independen (@aliansiremaja ), I presented my research titled: “Governance and Policy Discrepancies in Family Planning: A Cross-Sectoral Analysis of Political Commitment and Private Practice in Indonesia (2019-2024).”

I’ll be honest, I was incredibly nervous standing in front of experts and policymakers from all over the world. But at the same time, I felt so proud to advocate for such an important issue on a global platform.

Huge thanks to the team at Aliansi Remaja Independen for this amazing opportunity and for having my back throughout the entire research process. It wouldn’t have happened without your support 💗

Sharing some snaps from that day in Bogota. Definitely one of the highlights of my year 💫💝

#Pronatalism both undermines reproductive choice and is the leading driver of #overpopulation. At Population Balance, we are leading the way in helping to expose this toxic ideology and help people awaken to a greater sense of personal liberation and care for the larger living world. Writer Robert Jensen recently wrote a feature article about our ED Nandita Bajaj's work, which has been published in leading outlets. Check out the full article using the link in the bio.

In a recent episode of the #BeyondPronatalism podcast, host Nandita Bajaj is joined by Nicole Louie @bynicolelouie, author of "Others Like Me: The Lives of Women without Children".

Nicole grew up in a traditional household in Brazil, but knew from an early age that motherhood was not for her. When she found herself with a partner who decided he did want kids, she embarked on a journey of discovery about the many pathways life could take outside of our reproductive capacity.

This journey included not only deep self-reflection, but interviewing 14 incredible women and publishing a book that tells their stories. #childfree #womenwithoutchildren #pronatalism

Against all the mindless alarmism about the so-called “fertility crisis”, the real crisis is that majority of women and girls around the world do not have reproductive autonomy. According to UNICEF, almost 650 million women and girls alive today were child brides - because of the toxic ideology of #pronatalism. That’s a crisis we must desperately address.
