La ICFP fue la unión de voces, culturas y generaciones que comparten un mismo propósito: proteger y fortalecer los Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos en todo el mundo. 🌍

Fueron cuatro días llenos de conocimiento, aprendizajes, evidencia y esperanza. Cuatro días en los que la acción colectiva demostró que el cambio solo es posible cuando trabajamos juntos, desde cada país, cada historia y cada mirada. 💚

Porque más allá de los números, lo que nos une es la convicción de seguir construyendo un futuro donde todas las personas puedan decidir, vivir y amar con libertad y dignidad. ✨

More than numbers, ICFP was the union of voices, cultures, and generations sharing one purpose: to protect and strengthen Sexual and Reproductive Rights around the world. 🌍

Todavía me cuesta poner en palabras todo lo que significó vivir la ICFP.

Fueron días de mucho aprendizaje, de conversaciones que me movieron profundamente y de la certeza de que defender los derechos sexuales y reproductivos sigue siendo una tarea urgente en cualquier rincón del mundo 💚

Tuve la oportunidad de escuchar y conocer a personas que durante años han sido referentes para mí @itamaria83 @catalinapordios @volcanicasrevista @somosjacarandas @carolina.afrofem @aliada.dsdr Es de esas experiencias que una imagina desde lejos y que, cuando finalmente suceden, recuerdan que detrás de cada organización y de cada liderazgo, hay personas que han decidido dedicar su vida a transformar realidades, que honor ser una de ellas ✨️

También fue muy poderoso encontrarme con activistas, investigadoras, organizaciones y liderazgos de tantos países. Descubrir que, aunque nuestros contextos son distintos, compartimos los mismos desafíos, las mismas preguntas y, sobre todo, la misma convicción de que el acceso a la información, la autonomía corporal y la justicia reproductiva no pueden depender del lugar donde una persona nace.

Como mujer joven, politóloga y activista que viene de un municipio pequeño de Santander, llevar la voz de mi territorio a un espacio global fue un privilegio enorme y ser parte de la delegación joven más grande aún mejor ❤️‍🩹

Gracias a todas las personas que hicieron parte de esta experiencia y a quienes, desde distintos lugares del mundo, siguen demostrando que otro futuro es posible. Les amo @olajovenfp2030 @fp2030lachub ❤️‍🔥💋 taken in Ágora Centro Internacional De Convenciones by @theicfp

In a recent episode of the #BeyondPronatalism podcast, host Nandita Bajaj is joined by Nicole Louie @bynicolelouie, author of "Others Like Me: The Lives of Women without Children".

Nicole grew up in a traditional household in Brazil, but knew from an early age that motherhood was not for her. When she found herself with a partner who decided he did want kids, she embarked on a journey of discovery about the many pathways life could take outside of our reproductive capacity.

This journey included not only deep self-reflection, but interviewing 14 incredible women and publishing a book that tells their stories. #childfree #womenwithoutchildren #pronatalism

Against all the mindless alarmism about the so-called “fertility crisis”, the real crisis is that majority of women and girls around the world do not have reproductive autonomy. According to UNICEF, almost 650 million women and girls alive today were child brides - because of the toxic ideology of #pronatalism. That’s a crisis we must desperately address. by @theicfp

At @theICFP, Ministers and global leaders came together to tackle a growing crisis that puts access, equity, and progress at risk.

In partnership with William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health and @UNFPA, FP2030 is sharing new briefs that spotlight:
• The urgency of the moment
• Country-led financing solutions
• How shifting population trends are shaping the future of family planning and reproductive health
