What happens when international entrepreneurs don’t just move to Croatia, but stay and build here? 🇭🇷

That was the conversation behind our FBOA panel at Innovate Split 2026: International Business in Croatia, Creating Local Impact.

Five FBOA members, five different journeys across hospitality, relocation, education, wine, wellness and community, sharing what they’ve learned from building a life and business in Croatia.

Because local impact can take many forms: creating jobs, working with local businesses, sharing knowledge, building communities, investing, collaborating, and choosing to stay.

Thank you to @gbratton, @expatincroatia, @johnrogosic, @cheerscroatiamagazine and @newwayhealthcoach, and to @flornietoblog for moderating the conversation.

And thank you to Innovate Split, @lufawn and @tehnoloski.park.split for having us 💚

This is what FBOA is about: connecting international experience with the community we call home.

WHO TOOK OVER MY MIND & BODY?! 😂😳

Irrational? ✔️
Irate? ✔️
Outright ANGRY over something that probably didn’t even deserve that level of emotion? ✔️✔️✔️

And then you’re standing there thinking…

“Who IS this woman?! Because I don’t recognize her anymore!” 🤣

If you’re shaking your head right now saying, “YES! Jenn, you GET me!” — I see you. 👀

And here’s the thing… this can start in perimenopause—the phase when things can get a little… well… SCARY. 😂

Honestly, I had SO much fun during this photo shoot because apparently, this was the perfect opportunity to let my slightly unhinged side come out. 🤪

But let’s get REAL for a minute…

When you start noticing that you just don’t feel like yourself, don’t ignore it.

Talk to your doctor, health coach, or medical provider who truly understands the whole menopause journey and can help you understand what’s happening—not just throw lame “ideas” at you.

And if you’re not getting your questions answered or you’re being given bogus answers?

Find someone else. 🙌

You deserve to understand what’s happening in your body.

And yes… I’ve been there. ❤️

There IS a better way through this chapter—one where you can come out feeling amazing, strong, confident, energized, and ready for the freedom of whatever comes next.

Because menopause isn’t the end of your best years.

It can be the beginning of your most powerful ones. 🔥

I’ll be asking the questions this time 🎤

This Friday I’ll be moderating International Business in Croatia: Creating Local Impact at Innovate Split, @tehnoloski.park.split, bringing together five fellow @fboahr members with very different businesses, backgrounds and stories in Croatia.

I genuinely admire what each of them has built and contributed here, so I’m really looking forward to hearing their perspectives and having this conversation with them.

Basically, I have a very good seat on Friday 🫶🏻

Really looking forward to this one ✨

On September 11, I’ll be moderating International Business in Croatia: Creating Local Impact at Innovate Split, a panel I had the pleasure of putting together with FBOA Split-Dalmatia.

We’ll be bringing together Geoff Bratton, Sara Dyson, John Rogosić, Kit Pepper and Jennifer Gilman for a conversation about what it really means to build a business, a community, and create local impact in Croatia.

A big thank you to @lufawn for trusting me to put this together, and to the amazing @tehnoloski.park.split team for making it happen 🤍

Very excited for this conversation. See you on September 11!

Struggling to get pregnant or know someone who is?

I just shared a new YouTube video where I open up about my own fertility struggles and the one important place I believe every woman should start when preparing her body for pregnancy.

This is a quick under 7-minute listen, but it could give you a completely different perspective on your fertility journey.

Whether you’re just beginning to try or have been navigating challenges for a while, this message is for you.

Watch the full video on YouTube — and share it with someone who may need this reminder today.

From a @split_techcity column on visual identity.

Most brands look at their competitors for inspiration. That’s safe, but it’s also why everything starts to look the same.

Strong identity comes from building your own universe. From music, films, books, places, aesthetics, ideas, memories. From everything that makes your point of view different.

Visual identity is not decoration. It’s translation.

Sometimes everything becomes too technical. Too pragmatic. Too measurable. And, eventually, too boring. Books like this one, people like @erik.kessels (by the way, thanks for the autograph), and spaces like @cyanfestival remind me that it doesn’t have to be that way. It shouldn’t become that. We shouldn’t become that. We’re supposed to be curious, alive, messy, and fun. If it’s not at least a little bit fun, what are we even doing?
