8 months. 🥹❤️ And this means so much more to me than just getting stronger physically.

I struggle so much with commitment and consistency, so the fact that I’ve continued to show up for myself for 8 months is something I’m genuinely proud of. Have I missed a few classes? Absolutely. 😂 But I keep coming back, and for me, that’s what really matters .

My body is stronger, I can see the changes, but mentally, That’s where the real transformation has happened. I’m learning to commit to myself, to push through when I don’t feel like it, and to actually stick with something I started.

To the women @theinnerubootcamp ,PHENOMENAL❤️ The energy, the encouragement, the environment… there’s genuinely no place I’d rather be every Monday &Wednesday night.

@zeusofqlf ONE OF ONE! 💪🏽 Because the patience this man has to have to deal with me bitching and complaining EVERY SINGLE SESSION needs to be studied. 😭😂 I already know I get on his nerves, and unfortunately for him, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. But he continues to push me, challenge me, and remind me that I’m capable of more than I think. And I appreciate him .

The best part of all of this is realizing that I can actually keep a promise to myself.

8 months of showing up, complaining, laughing, getting stronger, and choosing myself even when I don’t feel like it.

After the energy, love, and community we experienced at The House Party Wellness Festival, we knew we couldn’t wait until next year to bring the family together again!

Introducing HIKE & VIBEZ — presented by The House Party x The Inner U Bootcamp!

We’re trading the dance floor for the mountains and taking our energy to New Jersey for a morning of movement, mindfulness, music, and COMMUNITY!

And trust us, this ain’t your average hike!

🧘🏾‍♀️ THE EXPERIENCE

We’re teaming up with @thehealingcollectivepractice for a guided meditation experience to help us reset, reconnect, and get grounded in nature.

🥾 our licensed hiking guide @uncle.philippe will lead us through the beautiful Vista Loop Trail, so whether you’re new to hiking or you’ve been outside, we’re moving together as a FAMILY!

Had such a good time at @thehousepartyfest at the House Party Wellness Festival. The workouts, the people, the energy, the COMMUNITY 🤎

And going from a 12hr nursing shift straight into a fitness festival is actually crazy 😂 but it was so worth it.

Tried some new workouts, met so many people and got to try @lifewaykefir Muscle Mates (protein + creatjne yogurt) for the first time 👀 definitely needed that after everything they put me through in those classes 😂

Fitness really is so much bigger than just changing your body.

So if there’s an event or class you’ve been wanting to try… just go girl. And if you don’t want to go alone, tag me 😂 I might come with you.

What took place Sunday was nothing short of Black History!

From the Trainers, vendors, hosts, Choir, media personnel, fitness circuits, timeslots & floor layout…Everything was phenomenal and flowed beautifully & effortlessly.

We are witnessing a shift in black fitness, specifically in NewYorkCity and If this house party was any indication in the direction we’re headed, we are surely in good hands with Zues & company spearheading this movement.

It’s Only up From here my brother!! You should be Proud! ✊🏾

Thank you, Hold your applause… this is your song not mine.

Another year in the books… another year that You guys showed up for self, for black culture, and for Health and wellness. what we created yesterday. i was told “ Create an experience… people will remember that forever” and i’m glad i was able to give US one.

To every instructor, Host, DJ, ambassador , vendor, sponsor, musician and THE VOLUNTEERS! i wanna thank you— y’all believed in something most can’t even fathom and y’all believed in me…. i appreciate that.

And to @kdubz00 , @debbiealamrew @topdollareash …the long hours, the fights lol, the making something shake, the journey… thank you cause i can dream but w/o y’all i can’t see.

also to the homies, the Group chats, the me bringing an idea to em and they say “that ain’t it” lol… y’all are just as instrumental as anyone else

And to you…. yes you, thank You.
For 10 years i have been dreaming about creating a space for black fitness to exist in the presence of black culture. and 250+ of you got to witness that. what you were apart of yesterday was just the start….

Another year at @thehousepartyfest 💜

Always a good time bringing Scented By Shayian to this event. This year was even bigger, with a full day of fitness, wellness, music, community, and so many amazing vendors.

Thank you to @theinnerubootcamp for having us back in the Vendor Village. Loved being a part of it again and connecting with everyone who stopped by my table. ✨
