Still trying to find the words… 💙

Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of being recognized as a Community Impact Honoree by A Woman of Many Hats—and I am deeply grateful.

But what moved me most was hearing Kandy Rose, founder of A Woman of Many Hats, speak from her heart about her personal experience with me before I was elected to the bench.

I knew Kandy as a client before I knew her as the visionary woman who would go on to create an organization dedicated to empowering and celebrating women.

To hear her speak about that chapter of her life—and the impact our interaction had on her—brought me to tears. 🥹

It reminded me of something I never want to forget: Sometimes the work we do in one season becomes part of someone else’s story in another.

Before the robe. Before the title. Before the recognition.

There was simply a woman doing her best to serve, to listen, to help, and to make a difference.

And yesterday, I was reminded that the seeds we plant in service can continue to grow long after we have moved on to the next chapter. 🌱

Kandy, thank you for trusting me enough to share your story and for speaking about me with such love and sincerity. You gave me a moment I will carry with me for a very long time.

To the entire A Woman of Many Hats organization—thank you for seeing me, celebrating me, and allowing me to stand alongside so many extraordinary women.

I am humbled. I am grateful. And I am reminded once again that service is its own reward. 💙
