My experience at Kidemia emia has been a great and exciting one. I've learned that innovation doesn't have to be creating something new but improving what already exists. My favorite part of the program is when we used our creative minds to think of a solution of an identified problem. It has inspired me to aspire.

What if the most important lesson a child learns is never written in a textbook?
A teacher can complete every syllabus, explain every complex topic, and prep a student for any exam. But the magic happens when a child learns to believe in themselves, when they find the courage to try again after failing, and when a teacher sees potential where the child only sees limits.

Teaching is not just a job, it is a calling to shape futures. But who looks out for the teachers?

That is why Mentors Tower and Kidemia are inviting you to Beyond The Classroom 2026 (World Teachers’ Day Summit). It is time to step into greater impact, unlock new opportunities, and build the future you deserve.

#ThrowbackThursday to one of my proudest moments this year: the Kidemia STEAM Awards 2026.

Brilliance is for everyone. Any child can be celebrated. When we started Kidemia, we wanted more than another learning app.

We (Shehu Zubairu BSC, MBA, PMP® SHRM-SCP® and I) wanted to change how excellence is recognised in Nigerian education, starting early, making learning measurable for schools, teachers and parents, and ensuring that access to digital learning isnt reserved for children in elite schools.

That’s why our partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Education and the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) means so much to us. Through it, children in public schools took part alongside their peers in private schools, using digital assessments and future-skills programmes many of them had never had access to before.

At the Awards, we celebrated young learners for academic excellence, creativity and future-ready skills, and we announced the winners of the Kidemia Common Entrance Scholarship Awards. Seeing children from every kind of school take part reminded me exactly why this work matters.

Special appreciation to our Panel Speakers who shared insights on the future of education and technology Ronke Adeniyi @ronkeposh , @saint_of_africa1 @joshfortech99 ,

I’m grateful to The Guardian Nigeria angel, @ijeomaodia for featuring the event, and to Mr. Akin Morakinyo, Registrar/CEO of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), for his encouraging words about celebrating excellence early.

As AI and digital transformation reshape education, technology must help us discover talent wherever it is, not just where it’s always been looked for.

Thank you to our sponsors and partners like @mentorstower , @gayleola Engr Jamiu Badmos, @thejaneoma @theglobalmentorbridge and Dr Clement Obadimu @obadimuclement participating schools, teachers, parents, my K500 friends and the Kidemia team. @thekidemia

This is only the beginning. 🚀

What happens when a parent wants to give their child a better shot at one of the most important exams of their early education?

For Kidemia, it started with a simple problem: preparing children for Common Entrance should not feel like guesswork.

We spoke with the people behind Kidemia about the problem they saw, what they are building, and why they believe technology can make learning more accessible for African children.

Guys!!! I almost forgot to post this 😅

We’re officially wrapping up registration for the Kidemia Young Innovator Program 🚀💡

When I recorded this video, we had about 240+ students registered.

Now? We’ve crossed 1,000 students! 🤯🔥

So if you have a child in JSS2 or JSS3, this is your FINAL CALL. Don’t let them hear about what happened from their friends later o 😂

Get them registered immediately and let them join other young minds learning to think, innovate, solve real problems and build ideas that matter.

Registration is closing. Link in the comments.

See you on the inside! 🚀💙

For many parents, preparing a child for Common Entrance is about more than studying harder.

A child can know the subject and still struggle with time management, question patterns, or identifying the areas where they need more work.

That is the problem Kidemia is trying to solve.

The Nigerian edtech company has built an assessment platform that gives students and parents a clearer picture of how they are performing across specific topics, rather than simply showing them a final score.

From Common Entrance preparation to partnerships supporting public school students, Kidemia is exploring what happens when assessment becomes a tool for understanding how a child learns.

We spoke with the team about the idea behind Kidemia, the challenges of building for Nigerian families, and their ambition to make better learning support accessible to more children.
