So beyond grateful my play NORA’S CHILDREN has been selected for this year’s @thekilroys Web 2.0!

I’m beyond honored to be part of this incredible collection!!! Not only the stellar artists connected in the Kilroys 2025 web (holy smokes)but the indomitable and also delicate web of theater artists at large. The resilience I have felt in our community in this challenging time is incredible. Thanks for all the badass humans @thekilroys You all are an essential part of the glue that holds us all together. Thank you, @danisuperpower for nominating NORA’S CHILDREN, your support means the world. @meganhillwhat, and @kristinleahey thank you for being my artistic life rafts when I needed support the most. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

It’s also my birthday, what a gift.

Also, for all of you talented gorgeous writers not in this year’s web, I see and celebrate you! We are all one. I have been there. 🧡🧡

Keep on telling the stories, especially that annoying one you keep avoiding. Yes. That one. I know, it’s a bitch. Love you all.

I have long been a fan of @thekilroys. To be included in their 2025 Web is a true honor and, honestly, a balm and boost I needed. I LOVE working on and championing new plays. Making new work is all I ever want to do. Thank you to The Kilroys 2.0 class for all the work, advocacy, heavy lifting you do, for being a light and projecting the light of other artists (thanks, @beyonce, for that metaphor haha). Thank you to @amy.staats for pulling me into this web. And what a web to be included in. Let’s all keep weaving.

Well, I can now share the news half a year kept in secret, I’m on the Kilroy’s list! 🤗 (a diverse network of playwrights uplifting eachother and shouting out each others work)
I remember reading their compilation of monologues just a year ago and thought, “wouldn’t it be funny if I were in this one day?”
Well… I did.
I got nominated by @nesheaholic for Painted Peppers, a project that started me up to where I am now. A show that still burns in my chest and pen and that will continue its journey further from here. I still feel so excited of the path I’ve been on and where it will take me next. But it’s also a community effort, and I’m grateful to the communities that have championed and encouraged me to reach for newer and newer heights.
To my parents. Mom and dad, thank you for raising your wild child.
To my friends. You make a tired Bee buzz a little more with every piece of banter.
To my mentors. You have made me not just an artist emerging, but simultaneously an artist who loves their craft.
And to you. Thank you for supporting my work and staying for the ride, it has just begun.

Hi so @eloquentepiphany is evil and nominated me to be a part of this amazing web of change makers so now I have to make a sappy post about it.

When I first was told I was nominated for this, I didn’t feel like I deserved it. I was and still am finding my foot within the theater community and disability advocacy. I wanted to be a changemaker and advocate for disabled/neurodivergent people in theater, but I didn’t know quite how I wanted to do that. When I wrote “I Want to Be,” I wanted to tell a story of what it is like to be an Autistic person in theater and learning to embrace that identity for the first time. Seeing the impact that had on people and the magic of creating a piece of art that also functioned as a piece of activism felt wonderful. I’ve spent the past year of my life trying to expand my impact in different spaces and have been blessed with many opportunities to do so. I can say now that I feel like this is deserved and regardless, I appreciate Bee so much for such kind words.

Making my way into this industry as a young disabled woman has brought me so much joy and a feeling of fulfillment I am beyond grateful for. I wouldn’t be here without a lot of people who empower my work and me as a person - so I want to spotlight some of those people.

@pumpernickel_butterscotchness_ @dentrowbridge and @maddiefritch put so much love, care, and dedication into bringing my play to life and I could not be more grateful to them for that. While I do not have the other actress’s @‘s - their names are Graziela and Nyannah and I can say the same for them. Much love to you all for being the wonderful performers you are.

Shoutout to @a.hakvaag as well for being the best director ever and the wonderful people at @pyplaywrights for empowering me as a playwright, profesional, and person.

I also want to express my appreciation once more to @aapdofficial and @autistictheatremakers for seeing the importance in disability advocacy in the arts as well and giving me opportunities to explore that further while diving deeper into the disability community.

With love,
Bri

So freakin honored/thrilled/buzzed that PEGGY (& BEN) is on the 2025 Kilroy’s Web/List! I never imagined when I started writing that I’d be cool enough to make it on, and now I have TWO listed shows (HATCHETATION was on the 2023 Web), which is just beyond wild to m’brain. It’s a huge affirmation and I truly TRULY cannot express how grateful I am to have my work mentioned in the same document as so many luminaries and tastemakers. 💜💜💜
