Orlando views of SpaceX Nebula and the “Jellyfish” seen all up and down the east coast 🪼🚀

I’ll let you know when these sights get old…don’t count on it though!

This morning’s CRS-35 launch from SLC-40 was one for the books! A beautiful jellyfish effect lit up the sky with the ISS passing by as Falcon 9 ascended. The booster then returned to LZ-40, capping off an incredible launch to the ISS.

Falcon 9 booster 1101 executing its landing burn after launching the Crew-13 mission from SLC-40.

The 1-3-1 landing burn never disappoints. Lighting the center Merlin, then igniting two more putter engines, before going back down to the center engine, and touching down at LZ-40. Going from over the speed of sound, to a graceful landing in a matter of seconds. This marks B1101’s 3rd flight and recovery.

Set this camera out the day before and walked away. No one touched it.

At dawn it woke itself up and shot 360 frames, one every 10 seconds, for a full hour.

Then it went back to sleep until the sound of the launch triggered it again.

One sunrise, sliced into moments. Truly only limited by our imagination and creativity but wouldn’t have been possible without being Triggered by @miopstrigger and Shot on @canonusa

Up and back. 🇺🇸🚀

Crew-13 climbing toward orbit aboard Falcon 9 — and minutes later, the booster coming home.

I had this composition in my head going into launch day: the rocket framed against the flags on ascent. Getting the same frame again during the booster’s return made it even better.

There’s something pretty incredible about watching four astronauts begin their journey to the International Space Station, then turning around and watching the first stage that helped send them there come back to Earth.

Same launch. Same flags. Two very different directions.

There are some days where I have to remind myself just how incredible it is to have access to do this.

Today was one of them. 🚀

Spent part of the day out at the pad setting remote cameras for tomorrow’s launch of SpaceX Crew-13 — getting about as up close and personal with a Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon Grace as you can get before four people climb inside and ride it to space.

Tomorrow, NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov are scheduled to launch aboard Crew Dragon Grace on their way to the International Space Station.

Launch is currently targeted for 11:10 AM ET from Cape Canaveral.

There’s just something different about photographing a crewed launch.

Tonight, this rocket is sitting quietly on the pad. Tomorrow, four human beings will be strapped into the spacecraft at the top of it, accelerating toward orbit and beginning their journey to the ISS.

Remote cameras are set. 📸

Now we wait.

Hopefully tomorrow I’ll have a very different set of photos to share. 🚀

A huge thank you to @nasakennedy for giving us the opportunity to get up close with the Artemis III SLS inside the Vehicle Assembly Building. It’s an incredible experience to see this vehicle up close and witness its progression firsthand as it continues its journey toward the next chapter of lunar exploration.

Was it loud? Booster Burn
Here’s something you don’t see often, a booster landing + a loud sonic boom! I’m glad I was able to capture both using the #insta360x5 . Can’t wait for the next launch! Captured for @thelaunchpadnetwork

Road to Rockets
I wanted to share some cool photos from the remote cameras! The second comp is pretty interesting as you can see the new Starship tower, which hopefully will be launching starships soon! The road makes for such a cool leading line, so hopefully I can get some more compositions from here in the future!
