And, of course, the Capers Cèilidh wouldn't be complete without a performance from yours truly, Capers.

Resonant folk duo hailing from Derby and Manchester, and your hosts for this event. From powerful acapella pieces, to mournful guitar ballads, the fundamental sound of capers is in the lush, wholesome harmonies.

Super excited about this. It's only our third time hosting one of these, but it already feels like a staple for us! We love playing for you all and hearing everyone else's wonderful songs, and most importantly, hanging out and jamming at the end :)

We can't wait, see you there!

Capers Céilidh Take 3's third act is Sammi Searle and Andy Tucker!

In their own words:
Sammi and Andy have cunningly infiltrated Capers Ceilidh despite not actually being a band. They do enjoy playing a selection of random covers, though, which you now get to listen to - you lucky people! Don't follow them at #wedonthavesocialmediabecausewerenotarealband

Despite not being a real band (so they say), Sammi and Andy never fail to entertain. Come along to enjoy their music and drop them a wee tip :)

All of these musicians are performing for donations, so if you can afford to give some money, please see the third slide for suggested ticket prices! If you wanna get a ticket in advance, drop a message to the Capers Instagram page :) See you on the 13th!

Our second act for the Capers Céilidh volume 3 is The Lia Band!

The Lia Band first formed at a folk session in captains bar in Edinburgh. Members include Luke on guitar, Isla on voice and Ally on fiddle. The band performs a mixture of well known traditional, folk and indie songs alongside a few hidden gems they enjoy bringing to new audiences. The band attempts to keep a free and improvised nature to their style, often experimenting with arrangements and harmonies in the moment. They aim to capture the sensibility of a song in a way that plays to the strength of each member, intertwining traditional fiddle techniques with vocal harmony and melodic and rhythmic elements of the guitar.

The Céilidh is a week from today, so if you've not already got it in your diary, get it in there now! Drop a DM to the Capers Instagram page if you wanna get a ticket in advance :) See you in a week

Our first act for the upcoming Capers Céilidh are the wonderful Peerie Faeries!

Singing a mixture of traditional songs, covers, and originals written by either themselves or their friends, in styles ranging from Scottish lullabies to American spirituals.

The night starts at 7:30 and goes on as late as you stick around for :) Our unique pricing system is in the third slide.
