These frames of @dark_horse_heart were shot on Candido 200 and 400, with one roll of Rollei RPX 400. Both Candido stocks were processed in C-41 to see how they hold up when deep contrast and the negatives dye behaviour can be pushed with the light.

Strong colour, deep shadows, and clean separation — that’s what impressed me most.

All lighting was controlled on set: spill blocked, bounce removed, colour kept separate at the lamps. The film did the rest.

Developed and scanned in-house at @theliquidlightlab and film supplied for testing by @candidocollective. More tests coming, pushing the films capabilities in ECN-2.

Something a bit different; two shots from #naxos in Greece this summer shot on film. Both street art of a type in the main port of Chora. The Freda Kahlo is painted on the side of a bar, the Angel on a wooden board in the center of the town.

Both shots on #silbersalz50d processed in ECN-2 chemistry by @theliquidlightlab in Leamington Spa. Good job! Pinch to expand if you want to know just how good this film stock is. Seems I can still hand hold 50 ISO.

Lightroom adjustment remarkably straight forward from the low contrast scans. I'll do these again from my home scans for comparison.

Testing the 1936 Zeiss Sonnar 85mm lens. The finder I used had no parallax correction and I didn’t compensate — the frame landed like this by chance, and I’d never have composed it this way deliberately. A reminder that imperfection often reveals something you wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Shot on the 1939 Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/1.5 — uncoated, with that unmistakable 1930’s glow.

Two different films here, each showing how this lens handles light and depth: one smoother and more modern in its grain, the other rawer, with silver in the shadows and slower transition through tone. @svetik_sweety_ bringing an autumn shoot to life as the light broke into shadow.

The focus falls away like a dissolve; skin holds shape but never hardens. It’s the cinematic look that’s built into the glass itself.

Developed and scanned in the @theliquidlightlab.

Photography is the story I fail to put into words.

Sometimes we miss the small details in life — the things that make it real.
Over the years, I’ve realised that when I’ve got my camera with me, I see more.
It slows me down. Makes me notice the light, the shapes, the little moments that usually pass by.
For me, it’s more than just taking photos — it’s a diary of life’s moments.
A way to keep the memories alive and remind myself how good it all really is.

Evening at Chesterton Windmill — the light falling low across the fields, soft but cinematic.

She carries that in-between quality — timeless, almost period at first glance, yet unmistakably modern in her presence. There’s a tension in her expression: calm, but aware; a story behind the eyes, not yet told.

Wind across the landscape, film catching silver and shadow — nothing posed, just a moment held this time.

@dark_horse_heart with her cinematic presence.

Anyone else have rolls of film they have used and taken ages to get developed?
