One year. A selection of twelve musical moments - one for each month.
A year of extremes, still living in my bones.
Deep thanks to all the people, places, and quiet magic that made it possible 🔆

January: rehearsing for upcoming gigs on every piano I could find along the Ligurian coast

February: a special concert at @casadocomum in Lisbon with both my parents in the audience

March: playing at @bota.anjos with the brilliant @ruima1a on electronics and stunning visuals by @hugosantos_photo

April: a beautiful residency with @asteria.musica , followed by a concert at @paxjuliateatromunicipal in Beja, collaborating with the female choir Estrelas do Alentejo - thanks to @festadocinemaitaliano and @clube_unesco_beja

May: The Art of Practicing - a yoga and sound retreat facilitated together with my lifelong friend @dal_corso_sara (the joy of working with you!)

June: the best one-to-one residency ever, in Croatia. There is nothing like @kucaklajnhouseofklajn , its inhabitants and my fellow residents @particula_extravagante , @lampionnn , and @aaponewborn

July: one of our most powerful concerts with @asteria.musica at @folkest_ in Italy. Playing with such talented women is always a privilege

August: teaching a music therapy course to a wonderful group of people - a week to remember, thanks to @eu_teacheracademy

September: probably our best concert yet with @theloafingheroes at our beloved @bota.anjos , with @loafing_hero as a true force of nature

October: presenting my performance “sonic migrations” in Finland at @kehafestivaali felt like a lucid dream

November: showcasing “sonic migrations” with the help of a ghost in Oeiras, Portugal, for the incredible @1to1artfestival by @gatoescaldadoteatro

December: it didn’t seem possible at first, but it happened! I finished my first solo album, with the invaluable guidance of the amazing producer @will.samson , the incredibly talented violinist @judith_tempest , and the support of @gda_fundacaogda

Carrying all of this in my heart and forward, into the next cycle ✨

A few years back, in a magical village called Saorge, with @theloafingheroes - our days filled with music, summer thick in the air, everything suspended in stillness and light.
The ancient fire has always been there.

Happy Summer Solstice 🔥

Here’s the trailer of our innovative performance of subversive joy by a collective of actors and musicians (from @theloafingheroes ) of the revolutionary novel, Finnegans Wake, by Irish author James Joyce.
This extraordinary book is perhaps literature’s most daunting and linguistically complex artefact. It is the ‘book of the dark’, a ‘river-romance’, a ‘meandertale’, and ‘verbivocovisual sounddance’, where the Word and the Void in human existence intertwine as ‘Woid’ in a language of the Chaosmos.

Directed by Bartholomew Ryan

Actors & Musicians:
Amanda Booth
Giulia Gallina
Mick Greer
Ruben Leonardi
Bartholomew Ryan
Robin Timmis
