It's Britney! Such a fun combo! Love the Voltage Feel Sexy classes. Always fun and empowering! And I've really enjoyed Sasha's teaching and bubbly personality!

I am not the best dancer and overthink everything, but for someone who's closing in on 50, I don't think I do half bad. 😅 But more importantly, I just love to dance and it makes me feel whole. 💗

Posting this so late since this was from this past Tuesday. 😬 We actually started with the chorus and was able to do it twice but that made the clip well over a minute, so I cut the first chorus part out and you get to see at the end anyways.

Super fun class with Sasha too! 💗

I kind of went back and forth about posting this one. It's the same dance as last week, so hopefully its better? I tried to do some improv at the end and, well, it is what it is. 😅 I really should practice some floor work, I guess. And there's better lighting so I can see all my mistakes easily too. 😬 But seriously a fun and sexy chair dance.

September came with many challenges, but we pushed through and had so many great things to look back on - Teaching dance again, so much quality granny time, quality friend time, great food, finding cute notes while studying, celebrating my birthday, and much more… Bring it on, October!

✨ SHE’S BACK! ✨

Find me at The Loft every Wednesday at 7:30 PM for BROADWAY BADDIE 🎭💃🏼

Come live out all your favorite jazz, showgirl, high kicks, and Broadway dreams in this class. Think big personalities, sassy choreography, musical theater energy, and just the right amount of ✨extra✨.

And yes… if you’re asking yourself:

“Will there be a kick-ball-change?”
❓ Perhaps.

“A pas de bourrée or two?”
👀Maybe.

“A sassy fan kick & pose?”
👯‍♀️ ABSOLUTELY.

All of these things may or may not happen… and honestly, you’ll just have to come find out. 😉

No Broadway experience required, just bring your main-character energy and a willingness to dance your heart out.

I can’t wait to see you all at The Loft! Let’s dance out those Broadway dreams. 🎭✨💃🏼

I am not typically a full face of makeup person (its too much work). Unless... it's for a show!!!

So about 30 of us from Dance Lab's Bad Girls Club alongside owner/director/badass 💗 Jenny Broe, performed last night as the closing performance for PechaKucha50 at the Charleston Music Hall.

The waiting is so hard! Get there early, get ready, then wait, and wait, and wait... while your makeup fades away, your body starts to get cold, and you feel all the soreness from the last 3 weeks of rehearsals.

And its all worth it when you get on that stage, and finally get to leave it all out there! It's a different kind of rush and feeling when you are performing live with an audience. I think any live performers would agree?

I didn't get much photos or anything since we were kind of busy and, you know, performing. But I got some selfies of the phases of my makeup! 😆

Hopefully I'll have a few clips or something of the performance to share later.

I just loved this choreo! Now one of my favs! I like the slower pace (easier for me to remember the steps, yet I kept forgetting things anyways). Excited for adding to it next week. So hopefully it will be... more?

I also need to practice my improvisation. I just roll around or blank completely. 😅

When I was asked if I wanted to perform at PechaKucha’s 50th romp, I said, “Um… are you sure you want JUST Jenny Broe dancing for six minutes? I so old now.” 😂

Will I take the stage solo? Or will THE BAD GIRLS CLUB come out of retirement for this moment??? You’ll just have to come to the show to find out. :)

The coolest part of this whole process has been working with people who have NEVER taken the stage before, alongside folks returning for the first time in over a DECADE (or MORE!!!). There’s something truly magical about being onstage, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at least once in their lifetime. Under those lights, with the music loud, you feel truly untouchable. Getting to share that feeling with these humans is everything.

A special thank you to @tay.solomon for helping me bring this Halloweeny moment to life. Your work is truly remarkable, your performance quality is unreal, and I’m honored to share the stage with you.

Get tickets if you wanna see what the crazy adults (and their even crazier mad scientist) of Dance Lab and The Loft are up to after hours. 😂🖤

We hit the stage Thursday at 7:30pm at the Charleston Music Hall. Let’s goooo! @chsmusichall

xoxoxo,

Jenny
