For just $30, join us for a weekend celebrating Sacramento’s theatre community with workshops, inspiring conversations, and plenty of opportunities to meet your people!

📅 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17

👗 11 AM | Opening Ceremony and Costume Fashion Show

🎭 12:30–5 PM | Workshops
Explore new skills, get creative, and learn from incredible local theatre artists across three class blocks.

🎤 5-7 PM | Keynote + Panel
Hear from local icon Melissa Muganzo, followed by a panel discussion with local theatre leaders.

🎶 7 PM | Afterparty
Musical theatre karaoke, dancing, and mingling with your local theatre community. Come ready to have fun!

🎬 2–5 PM | One-Act Stage Readings with Teatro Nagual @tenatheater

My Auntie hand made every single detail and jewel and bead on this Sun Catcher/Window Veil. The amount if time she spends creating these are wild. The love she puts into them is beautiful. This is love.

I’m proud to say I’ve started my 2024 with a myriad of Firsts…

& being in a show at A.C.T. is one of them!

We’re currently in rehearsal for “Measure for Measure”, one of Billy Shakes’ lesser produced plays. M4M deals with so many issues that are unfortunately still extremely relevant today…the hypocrisy of government officials and people in positions of power, decriminalizing s€x work, s€xual a$$ault, sacrificing all you have in life in the name of justice, the list goes on…

M4M has the honor to be the first production of the A.C.T. Out Tour, A.C.T.’s revival of their educational tour (formerly known as Will on Wheels). We’re working with a script translated by Aditi Brennan Kapil, and it is 🔥🔥🔥

We’ll be performing at The Reuff at the Strand Theater in The City March 15-17, & then March 18-30 we’ll be touring around the bay holding workshops and performing at different schools and communities that don’t normally have access to professional theatre.

THANK YOU to all who have inspired me and made this possible for me. I was first introduced to Shakespeare in high school with the absolute best English teacher. Mr. San Juan, aka Mr. Dan Jan, THANK YOU. I was cast in my very first Shakes show (Romeo & Mother Juliet) with the incredible & incomparable @themacbethproject over Zoom during the height of the pandemic. @khimberlymarshall, I love you, THANK YOU. The first production I was ever even a part of in the bay was SM-ing Richard II at @aa_shakes and I learned so much, THANK YOU. I’ve trained and unburied and flourished through the month long intensive at @shakeandco and my god, THANK YOUUU. I’ve been taken under the wings of truly amazing members of so many different communities, and I stand on the shoulders of all those who have come before me & have made this possible and a reality. THANK YOU💐❣️

Did I mention this is my first time being in a FULL production of Shakespeare, as well as my first tour?!?👽🌱✨

Today is my beautiful Auntie's 25th birthday!!! 😉 You all know how I step behind her. Wish her the best birthday EVER!!!

Auntie, I love you 4ever and Always!!! Thank you for loving me not only with your words but also with your actions!!! You show up for me every time in whatever capacity I need you to, no questions asked. You love and accept me flaws and all, and that means the world to me!

I hope you truly know how special you are and how you make this world a better place by simply breathing in!! You are a force, and one day, everyone is going to know just how much!! The love in the room was grand, as was the talent, knowledge, experience, collective histories and passion. Thank you beautiful artists for taking time to gather and envision the possibilities. This one... This one right here!!! If you saw me in New York, You saw her!!! This is my beautiful aunt who had my back, front, and both sides. To know her is to LOVE HER! When she knew how uncomfortable my mother was about me flying alone to New York with an unstable neurological condition, she jumped into gear and stopped EVERYTHING she was doing to come with me! She LITERALLY got her tickets days before I was to fly out! WHAT!? to not only make sure I was okay but to ease my mother's heart!

I lacked nothing with her. We shared so many laughs and tears and joy together exploring the wonder that is New York for the first time! To spend such time with her, learning, and loving and enjoying the beautiful nuances of life was such a treasure I don't take for granted. I was perfectly okay to come alone but boy am I so grateful I didn't! From being at my side at Peloton Studios to seeing 3 shows/musicals on Broadway, to walking to the harbor, having good foods, and so much more, she was RIGHT THERE! Often times sacrificing her own bouts of discomfort to make sure I wasn't experiencing it! That is love abound, and I am honored to be loved by her! Auntie Khim, I love you 4ever and Always!!! THANK YOU!!! 💜 💜💜💜
