How do you make theatre with a mission and still deal with the realities of actually keeping the work going?

That’s what we’re talking about Saturday at Sacramento Theatre-Con.

Richard Falcon @falconrichard of @tenatheater will moderate a conversation with:

Erinn Anova — Celebration Arts @celebrationarts

Khimberly Marshall — The Macbeth Project @themacbethproject

Oliver Mayer — University of Southern California @uscedu

Marlene Forte — Founding member of LAByrinth Theater, NY @labyrinththeater

They’ll talk about what mission-driven theatre actually looks like when you move from the idea to the real work: the challenges, the funding, and what they’re trying to build.

If you make theatre, want to build something of your own, or care about where our theatre community is going, come be part of the conversation.

📅 Saturday, October 17
🕕 6:00–7:00 PM
📍 Auditorium, CLARA Studios
2420 N St, Sacramento

$So I am at home, recuperating from my 2 bone fracture in my ankle and decide to watch a marathon of sea movies, The Rift, Leviathan...and ending with The Abyss, one of my favorite movies and to age myself, this is a 1989 movie and still to this day, I cry my eyes out and feel every moment of it. It is such a lovely example of perfect cosmic sciFi film. Must end this with the penultimate...The Europa Report. Yes. I am a nerd....and...ummm....old. Oh...the beer bottle is there because I didn't have any ice when I first broke it. Good timezzzz.... Oh...the beer bottle is there because I didn't have any ice. Good times by @themacbethproject$
